I’m extremely impressed with the Rain‑X 600001 Windshield Repair Kit. A small rock chip appeared on my windshield and I wanted to fix it quickly before it spread into a full crack. This kit did exactly what it promised. The instructions were easy to follow, and the entire process took less than 30 minutes from start to finish. The resin flowed well into the damaged area, and after curing in sunlight, the chip was barely noticeable unless you know exactly where to look. More importantly, the crack stopped spreading completely, which gave me real peace of mind. I love that this kit is designed for multiple repairs, making it a great value compared to expensive glass shop visits. Everything you need is included, and no special tools or experience are required. For small chips or cracks within the recommended size, this works incredibly well.

I had 2 dings on my front windshield, one with a little longer hairline cracks than the other. After getting quotes via yelp, reading reviews, and looking at before/after pictures, I decided to just DIY it myself. Getting it done by a business doesn’t guarantee that the dings will become invisible, just that it won’t further crack, so I figured then I might as well do it myself. This was easy to use and it worked great for the smaller ding. The one with more of a crack didn’t disappear completely but I can live with it and has not cracked any further. As long as you’re ok with your dings being slightly visible as a possibility, I think this would work fine

The product works and does what it's supposed to do. I'm convinced that anyone who says it doesn't work is more likely referring to a procedural error than a product problem. Here are a few things I can suggest: 1. Apply the product as soon as the crack appears in the glass. My glass broke on Monday, and by the time I bought the product and it arrived, I applied it on Saturday (5 days after the crack). Even the instructions themselves say not to wait too long. 2. Clean the glass (of dirt, grease, dust) before starting. I used isopropyl alcohol, but regular 70% alcohol should work. Don't apply the resin in direct sunlight. 3. Be patient. The secret is getting the resin into the tiny crack in the glass, so be patient. Apply it a few centimeters at a time, allowing the resin to seep into the crack. You should check the seal while sitting inside the car, where small air bubbles will form, and gently touch the glass to help the resin penetrate. Again, be patient. 4. Finally, apply more resin and the clear patches and let it dry in direct sunlight. About 30 minutes should be enough. 5. Smooth the patches and any remaining resin with the included blade. Hold the blade at a 90° angle (don't tilt it) and again, be patient. I'm more than satisfied with the results. My crack is over 12 inches long, and it worked perfectly. One package contains enough resin.

Had a small star crack, smaller than a quarter. Did two applications, I can still see it. Tried applying a drop to the ends of the arms, using alcohol to break surface tension, adjusting pressure on applicator. Two or three rounds plus multiple manual applications, I expected a better result.

I have to say that though this seems like a decent solution for normal pits in a windshield, it didn't help me. The crack in my windshield seems to have been most severe under the surface, perhaps where laminated pieces of glass join. At any rate, despite trying to force the glue into the crack, the appearance of the crack remains unaltered and I don't think the glue made its way into the main portion of the crack. I don't really fault the maker for this, but it's something to be aware of if you have a crack that looks to be mostly sub-surface.

Minimized spider crack/chip and stopped it spreading. I had to do it 5 times to be comfortable it worked. I did 2x with the suctions and 3x just pouring a bit over and placing the plastic cover it came with. I treated it day after I noticed it forming, though I don’t know how or when the chip happened. It was spreading on its own even when car wasn’t moving, so time was urgent. I followed a guy on YouTube who treated a crack /chip on a black Porsche. For him, the chip almost disappeared, for me, it’s still clearly visible just much smaller and contained, it went from a quarter size to a dime size and spider look much smaller. Definitely worth the $ spent. The key is being gentle with suctions and never lean on windshield with your hands. I was worried it would get worse based on other people’s reviews, but following the porsche YouTube video instructions gave me a good idea how to use suctions. I also used it for a cracked iPhone screen after it fell down an elevator shaft. The long crack and small chip filled in nicely, can only be seen if I have light background. I didn’t need to use suctions for phone.

I grabbed this for a rock chip on my car so I did not have to schedule a shop visit. The kit layout is simple. I watched a quick video, cleaned the glass, then used the resin on my lunch break. The chip is still visible but way less obvious, and the crack stopped spreading.

I’ve ordered this a couple times now. I wouldn’t say it’s easy to use but it seems to work. Definitely worth it to avoid the cost of a new windshield. The first crack I had in my old car held up for years without spreading any more. I eventually sold that car and now I’ve also used this on a chip/crack on my new car which has held up for a few months so far. I haven’t been able to get the resin into the chip/crack to a point where it all “disappears” as the instructions say (it did in some parts but not others) but even so, it’s seeming to work. Repairing the cracks was an easier process than the chips IMO. Make sure you can get your car in the sun or have a UV light in order to cure the resin. Also be prepared that this will take time. You will do one step, wait, do the next step, wait, etc.

Tbh I didn’t expect this to work at first, but the outcome is a pleasant surprise. It’s not perfect, but it stopped the growth of that crack. And although I can still see a teeny tiny crack at certain angles, I think it’s good enough for now. It’s so much cheaper than getting a new windshield. Worth every penny I spent on it.

10/10 Tienen que leer bien las instrucciones y solo funciona con estrelladas del tamaño del ojo del centro de la araña donde se aplica el producto. Para fisuras muy grandes, no funciona.. mejor adquieran ya el nuevo parabrisas. Es para pequeños detalles, que son molestos por algún accidente con una piedra en carretera.

piccolo foro, senza lunga criccatura, molto vicino al montante. Ho tagliato in parte due delle ventose per poter centrare il forellino . Applicato secondo le istruzioni, applicato un foglietto protettivo, fatto asciugare e ripulito con la lametta tenuta a 45°. Mia moglie non è più stata in grado di identificare il danno. Veramente efficace.
