Car Audio Single 12" Vented Subwoofer Stereo Sub Box Ported Enclosure 5/8" MDF

😬 just the right enclosure 👌👍🏻

I ordered this ported 12-in sub box for a Skar 12" sub that I installed in my wife's 2020 Kia forte in the trunk. After I wired everything up and adjusted the gains on the amp this thing made that speaker sound really good. I had the 12-in sub in a sealed box before and thought to myself she wanted a little bit more boom to the system well what better way to add a little more boom to the system than to add this 12-in sub to a ported box like this which has a lot more internal volume than the sealed box which is also recommended for this sub but man the price was amazing and it was exactly what I was looking for in a ported box for the trunk of her car. After all the adjustments and listen to a few songs, this thing really made that sub thump like you would not believe but that is to be expected with a ported box versus a sealed box. Exactly what she was looking for. Happy wife happy life. Lol😂

The box itself has the potential to be a good enclosure, but unfortunately the build quality is very poor. All of the MDF panels had worked themselves loose because the enclosure was never properly glued together. I peeled back the carpet to inspect the construction and take photos of the detached panels. It appears the enclosure was assembled using only brad nails, with a bead of silicone applied to the inside seams. On the outside, wood filler was used to hide the gaps between the panels, but there is little to no evidence that wood glue was ever used during assembly. As a result, the joints failed, the panels separated, and the enclosure rattles badly. I expected a much higher level of craftsmanship for the price and cannot recommend this product!!!

Good enough for me it’s a very good Subwoofer Box I have a $80 subwoofer rubber hi surround and man it Bangs throws decent airflow out the port. But keep in mind it Will Break if you put a heavy duty big sub it will break the box. Just letting you know.
