Fantastic
Violet Tendencies was fantastic as far I'm concerned. Casper Andreas and Jesse Archer make the perfect movie making match. The movie was well written. It was funny, had drama and was sad at times and had a great message if you paid attention. I won't say what it is, you'll have to figure it out yourselves when you see it. Mindy was so great in her starring role, it was like the role was written for her.Well, actually I will tell you what I got out of it. Don't let anyone dictate who you are or what you want. Be yourself.Fantastic movie! Well done Casper and Jesse and everyone else involved!

Four Stars
Mindy Cohn is pretty great in this film. The side plots of her gay friends, not so much.

Mindy Makes the Movie
If all this featured was the male cast, VIOLET TENDENCIES would be just another gay movie, complete with cardboard characters and cliché situations that were done much better years ago on QUEER AS FOLK. I wasn’t invested in any of the guys but Mindy Cohn makes the movie. She was great on THE FACTS OF LIFE and if you imagine Natalie as a 40-year-old f*g-hag, you have a good idea of what you’re in for. The little moments from Mindy are what make this film worth a watch—whether she’s out clubbing in a pleather catsuit (complete with kitty ears) or looking simultaneously bored/frustrated during a round of vanilla sex, she’s a delight. And thanks to her, I know now what a FUPA is!
