Mirrycle Incredibell Headset Bicycle Bell

Small, unobtrusive and easy to install. A bit over-priced for what it is, but a nice, small bell, none the less. It has 2 small screws on the bottom that hold it to the cardboard retail packaging. When I pulled it off, the bell was a bit loose. I tightened the screws and it was fine. I put it on the stem under the first spacer with the dinger on the left side and can reach it just fine with my thumb without taking my hand off the bar. UPDATE: After using this bell for a few months, I find the sound a bit high pitched and weak. It works just fine, but often the pedestrians whose attention I'm trying to catch don't hear it. Still, it's small and unobtrusive, like I said.

A bell is becoming standard etiquette in an ever more bike friendly world. I do sometimes ride my MTB in urban streets or crowded trails. Problem: no room on the bars, and bell still feels a little dorky. This bell fits below and next to my stem and is almost invisible, with a well integrated look. It remains silent even on rocky downhills. The ring has one volume: moderately loud single ding. I wish I could do a softer ring for trails and louder for cars. I want to say "I am here", not "get the F out of my way". Probably more an issue in my mind, since people around LA mostly don't use bells yet.

I was looking for a nice bell to put on my road bike. I like having this one up near the stem instead of a bar end bell, which is kind of too far out of the way when you need it. It seems to be about as loud as the normal Incredibell, just mounted differently.

I got another Incredibell a couple weeks ago, but it didn't fit on my handle bars, so I gave it to my daughter for her kid bike. She was thrilled. I finally found this as a solution. I got it in the mail today and it fits the headset of my Bianchi bike perfectly. YAY!!! I like to ride the trails around here and I am sick of yelling, "on your left". I didn't like the idea of mounding a bell above the gear-shift either. Frankly, I didn't love the idea of pressure mounting something around my cherished soft handle bars either. Only Con: It was $15. FIFTEEN DOLLARS! and all the other Incredibells are like $5 to $8 on Amazon but barely different except for the ring. So I feel taken. It's not like the ring that goes around the headset is some precious, feat of engineering genius. I think the price is cranked because it's the only option for us roadies. (Thus the 4 stars instead of 5) That said, I'm relieved to have it and I was excited to attach it (super easy) and I'm looking forward to using it on the trials. The sound seems loud enough to me.

I have this bell on both of my bikes now. Both bikes are road bikes and have limited handlebar space because of their taped bars, so I was glad to find this bell in a bike store once. It is a little bit quieter than the handlebar-mounted Incredibells, but it gets the job done, and saves space at the same time!

First, the good. It was simple to install, and I liked how it was incorporated into the bike. However, twenty minutes into my first ride with the bell, I went over a small rough patch of the road, and the bell came off the bike with a ring. So overall, good idea, but fails in its construction. I no longer have a bell, so that was $13 dollars wasted.

For a road bike, this is probably the ideal way to mount a bell... it's out of the way, but still reachable with a stretch of the thumb. But I'm a bit disappointed in the volume... it's not as strong as I had hoped for. However, this is not unique to this particular model... I also bought two other Incredibells for other bikes (same size, but the one that mounts on the bars), one silver and one black. The silver one has a much more powerful sound, while the black one sounds just like this one. So, I guess it's a side-effect of the bell being painted black. Update 3/14/11: After using the bell on a ride, although the sound is indeed on the weak side as previously mentioned, I'd have to call it "loud enough" for alerting pedestrians and other cyclists who you are about to pass (as long as they're not wearing earbuds!). Bumped my rating to 4 stars.

This bell fits on the stem, witch is a nice feature. It stays in position well and is easy to use. The one negative it isn't real loud or a sound that gets attention, but it is acceptable.

Exactly as it appears in the picture, but not exactly what I was looking for. I will slightly modify to suit my needs.

Love this bell, it’s not loud but great if you have no space.
