Excellent choice for older HVAC systems with no 'C' wire. Easy install with provided instructions and included parts. Works great! This is a thermostat that does not include a built-in thermometer display, so if you want that try a different model.

Remember to pull out the paper battery block so it will work. I paid the heating and cooling guy $100 to come out and show me that part of the instructions that I missed. My mistake. Swapping from this unit from the Nest Unit cut my heating and cooling bills by 25%. The Nest does not maintain cool enough temperatures in the summer or enough heat in the winter. When it tries to heat or cool it can never catch up. So sweat in the summer and freeze in the winter. Then the Nest picks your temperature and can not be over ridden. Save money and be comfortable with this unit. Run the Nest over with the tractor to get back at it for all the money it wasted and discomfort it caused.

I have used this thermostat for several years and have found it trouble-free. After trying out a Nest thermostat and not liking it, I purchased another one. Unfortunately, it was defective, and Honeywell didn't seem to support this model. Frustrated, I initiated a return, and Amazon promptly sent me another one. I compared the two, and I could clearly see the problem, which was obviously a result of poor quality control. The replacement works perfectly and I expect many years of use from it. I am a licensed electrician.

Works as advertised works on heating or cooling. Installed one on my mother's air conditioner and 1 in my garage for my overhead heater , they work very well.

Great for old homes, simple and easy to install. I have central AC and an oil furnace and i installed in less than 30 minutes.

I needed an all analog thermostat to turn on solar powered fans in a greenhouse type environment. This fit the bill perfectly. Super simple to set up with good instructions and it works flawlessly with my low voltage power wiring. The thermostat is wired to a Mosfet that is controlling power to solar powered fans fed directly from the panels with no batteries. The thermostat goes LOW when the temperature gets above the setpoint, Mosfet goes HIGH and the fans kick on immediately. The thermostat uses no power itself and needs no batteries so no worries about it not working one day. So far its withstood temperatures over 100 degrees Celsius with no reduction in performance. If you want a dead simple thermostat for controlling heating AND cooling this is your thermostat!

Basic, easy straight forward use...we set it for a very low temp for our garage heater and haven't needed to adjust. We double checked its accuracy with a thermal temp reading and it was bang on!

I believe the one I recieved had been opened and returned. The packaging looked good although the tape seals on the box sleeve were cut. The unit works well but the tabs at the top of the cover that hold it on are both broken. I have used clear tape to hold the cover on.
