Quest Day Pack (Grape Leaf)

Keep one of these in each vehicle to hold essentials to help me and my beautiful bride get home in case of emergencies. Just big enough to hold what I need and comfortable enough to strap on for just such contingencies.

Whether it's from a day out on a hike, or navigating a jungle with your laptop and books, this bag gets it done. Durable construction, 2 liter water storage, built in organizer and top zip-pocket entry for quick access to essential storage (keys, money, phone, USBs, etc.) makes this the perfect bug-out bag for any occasion! Don't forget about the side zip pocket for whatever and the other side drink container storage for your favorite beverage!

Initially I found a grey version of this same bag at a Walmart, purchased it, started hiking with it and making it the all purpose every outdoors bag for every minor thing sort of bag. I was drawn to it because of the molle style. I own other much more expensive packs of similar nature, but this thing for being pretty cheap has held up perfectly. So I bought the olive color when I found it on Amazon, which is the same bag but has one minor difference that I appreciate which is there's no overlapping flap of fabric over the zipper on the main compartment. The only thing that I disliked about the first one I'd purchased was the zipper would sometimes catch in the flap if I wasn't careful, but with this that's not even an issue, just smooth zipper action. For something that costs so much less than a lot of comparable and durable bags, this is a win.

Pros: comfortable, good layout, well constructed backpack. Bag has two main compartments, with an internal slot for hydration bladder. I can carry a 1 quart Nalgene water bottle in outside pocket. Solid accessories - zippers, molle webbing, breathable padding, carrying handle, shoulder straps. Cons: Two compartments interfere with packing every day items. Organizer panel - flimsy material could be pierced with a nail file. I dislike the Zipper pulls extremely noisy and indistinguishable from backpack. I Results: great piece of gear, I like the color. So, I modified the bag...and I cut out the organizer panel, resulting in a single compartment bag. I swapped out the panel and original zipper pulls. Modifications: I used items on hand, or otherwise ordered from Amazon dotcom. First compartment: Consequently, I have a rugged, more accessible organizer. i installed "Hazard 4 molle insert panel". And I attached 3 "Vertx overflow pouches" to the velcro side. The Hazard panel now acts as a divider. Second compartment: I installed a "pacsafe travelsafe 12L." I enjoy Pacsafe items, allowing protection for my gear - slashproof and padded. I cut off the metal zipper pulls. Then I put in Maxpedition "positive grip zipper pulls."

Great backpack, this is my 2nd one. Plenty of room. Had several backpacks this is my favorite by far.

This is the third version of this pack that I've bought over the last decade. My original is still my go to day pack. I bought two for my children and they love them as well. No problems at all. Not even a stitch loose.
