This has massively improved my digital audio quality. CDs are at least on par with vinyl. Previously had no DAC, was worried it was a marketing hype. I remember when I inherited an amplifier and speakers I thought my pc sounded a bit odd through the speakers. Decided it was how its supposed to sound and lived with it.Started to learn about DACs and after looking at a lot, up to 450, went with this. I will add Bluetooth later. Very happy with it. The sound now sounds like music with noticeable soundstage (left right seperation).I'm not an audiophile, tested and can't hear difference between 360kbps and FLAC, but this was an obvious upgrade to me. Listening to my cd's again.Most of the reviews here seem to be for an amplifier, think amazong has mixed review and product on the pages for this DAC. Great LF/Mid it's a warm epic sound for a such a small amp and SMSL have designed built & packaged this amp so well and it now replaces my D Class DA-100a (100W).I've got it hooked up with an optical source via the dac running into some Cambridge Audio Minx 11's and Sound Science cube speakers fills the room from the desk nicely.The 2020 hasn't burned in yet but I reckon in a month I be hearing any sharp edges to the sound dissipate T class is definately superior in sound than D Class and this confirms it for me.I can only give this amp a **5*** stars rating as that's all there is and I honestly don't think you are ever going to find an amp that can touch a Tripath 2020 for the money - it's outstanding bit of kit works well with the SMSL's Sanskrit 24/192 Dac which is the revision to the SMSL1955 Dac.Now go out an get one !!

Good for the price. Mobie Dazzle audio out, to SMSL Amp, to vintage Tannoy speakers (6ohms). Sounds very good considering low quality source, loud enough, lights not over powering which is good. I've had Tripaths TA2020 amps before and they do benefit from some recapping inside, but I probably won't even bother here, as this is good enough for Youtube videos and having a dance about! Button and volume pot are a bit wonky though, hence a star knocked off, not bad enough for me to return though, as I think it came from HK.

Order was processed and despatched quickly, but tracking ceased after it left Singapore. It arrived in UK 10 days after ordering and passed through customs without comment.The unit seems well made and is small and neat. It came with a UK plug which fitted well (though seems to lack a fuse) and a small and appropriate AC-DC transformer. Connections at the back are easy and standard. The tiny manual is in very poor English but setting up the amp is very straightforward.The sound from my laptop is excellent, comparing well with my old TEAC CD/Tuner/amp, using the 6 ohm TEAC speakers. Volume is high even at 25% and would presumably be greater at 4 ohms. I can't tell what the distortion might be at higher volumes (no tech data) but the output could easily fill a large room. Really good value and seems to be very well made in contrast with the reviews of some Chinese competitors.

Paired this bad boy with a JDS Labs atom amp and some Drop HD58x and all I can say is WOW!!!

Got this little box to power TIBO speakers (ex R@*her Sounds) for the kitchen through an Onkyo AV receiver (with Zone 2 output) and it's top notch. There are no problems driving the speakers, the kitchen is ca. 3.5 m x 2 m and enough power is supplied to give decent sound quality even at a low setting. Why aren't these little beauties more widely available?

best choice for money
