Klutz Mini Grocery Store Craft Kit

I have a 5 year old girl and 11 year old boy. I have yet to find anything that they both will play with and then THIS came into our lives. For starters, my 11 yo son has been done with legos or any toys for that matter for years. If it’s not a video game he’s uninterested. He saw his sister playing with this, joined in, and asked for his own. I promptly bought another. They both play with this for hours with NO TEARS (remarkable for my 5 yo). It’s easy to figure out and very cute & clever. Would make an awesome gift for boy or girl in the 5-11 range. Highly recommend!

My Granddaughter loves these kits and she has completed most of them and has such a good time making them. So I found these two kits (mini sushi bar and mini grocery store) on line which are new ones for her to make. First of all the delivery was delayed, and that is not a make or break thing but she was really anxious for these to arrive. So then they were finally delivered and both kits were not useable!! The air clay was crumbly and totally dried out in Both kits!!! Very disappointing!! So yes, we could return them, but that is a hassle. Basically the return is only to prove to you that this truly happened. Too much trouble for me. Grandma spent good money for them--they are not cheap. So I will try to find fresh kits to replace these for my Granddaughter. My feeling is that these kits were sitting around too long in a warehouse and the clay went bad. So I leave it to you to replace them--or not. I had already spent money on four previous Klutz mini clay kits for her to make--and they were all in good shape when she opened them. So I know it can go this way. So I will see what you do. Thank you for listening and hopefully you will find a way for the clay to be useable once the kit is purchased.

Klutz has amazing product managers. These kits are wonderfully thought through, constructed, and designed. My children love opening these kits- we currently have the bakeshop and the grocery store. There is so much delight packed in these kits- if your children love hands on activities, enjoy eating and making foods, then this kit is for you. The directions are clear, well thought out, and the end results will be sure to please and bring a smile. My kids have spent entire afternoons building their grocery stores and all the cute vegetables to fill them.I cant recommend this kit highly enough, along with the other products and kits that Klutz makes. I always look forward to getting these for my children and their friends.

This is the cutest, most fun toy I’ve ever seen. My daughter (6), my son (8), and I have all been having so much fun with this set. I couldn’t imagine our creations would come out nearly as cute as the pictures but they did!!! The instructions are incredibly helpful and easy to follow. My daughter spent her piggy bank money on this and she was so proud that she spent her own money on something we’ve all been enjoying so much. We added the adorable little food toys to her kitchen & supermarket in her room and we will continue playing with them. I’m very happy with this and I’m going to buy this set as bday gifts for her friends.

I would do less than 1 star if I could. First this product should have a expiration date listed on the box for perishable producta like this. There is no expiration date listed anywhere. I bought this for a Christmas present and the clay is all hard and very old and completely unusable. Its much older than how long I have had it waiting for Christmas day, every color is hard as a rock and I bought some other clay from another brand around the same time for a Christmas present and it's been great and still very good to use. The product return window closed so otherwise would return and exchange for a new one. The product return window was not long enough for buying ahead for a Christmas present so this is a waste of money. I will not buy products like these again for gifts without checking the return window or probably will just buy locally. Complete trash.

I bought the grocery kit for 8 year old son and the bake shop for my 5 year old daughter. They played for hours and I was blown away by the creativity. The books are easy to use, have step-by-step instructions and the clay is so easy to work with. We put a piece of wax/parchment paper down and let them go. I also bought an extra box of air dry clay to have some more color to combinations. Love these kits, I’ve been buying them for gifts too.

I have purchased other similar sets and loved them, but unfortunately the clay in this set was completely dried out and unusable. I returned it and ordered a replacement, and the replacement was also dried out. Luckily I found one at a local craft store that was NOT dried out. Save yourself the trouble and do not order this kit from Amazon. The kit itself is a lot of fun, but the clay must be fresh to use.
