It's Just! - Psyllium Husk Powder, Unflavored, 10oz

I’m really impressed with this product. You can’t get this much fiber from a pill. I first tried mixing it with tea, and that was a big mistake. It turned into a gelatin mess. Then I tried mixing it with a handmixer in room temperature water, and I barely tasted it. I drink it quickly so it doesn’t start turning into gelatin. I noticed a big and positive difference with digestion immediately. I’m hoping it will lower my blood glucose, but only time will tell with that.

Does not dissolve into water easily stirring with a spoon. Some will remain in small clumps, requiring vigorous mixing. Using a handheld mixer would work better. I don't mind the clumps though. I just drink it. I prefer this form of psyllium husk to Metamucil, with the flavor being slightly nutty. I make my own bread and the flavor is very close to that of whole wheat flour. Not unpleasant at all, just different. As with Metamucil, you need to drink it soon after mixing to avoid gelling. I also add a little of this to flour when making bread to increase fiber content.

Love this product. It dissolves quickly, with ease, and the powder doesn’t grow as quickly as regular husk making it much easier to drink than the husk. I also like the that it doesn’t have a flavor and can add it to my coffee.

I'm just addressing the taste. Many customers say it's horrible. And also that it does not dissolve completely. I don't find it that terrible (but I'm tolerant). But, I find if I dump it into my cafe tatte, true it barely dissolves. But, I leave it as is, although I do stir it in. And as I drink it, I come upon small balls of the powder and just eat them as if they were a malt ball. And they pick up the flavor of the coffee. Try it. As to its nutritional effect pertaining to lowering cholesterol, it's too soon to tell. I'll have my numbers checked in Sept. '26.

I had heard mixed things about Psyllium Husk Powder, but it has worked amazingly well for me. It is fantastic for curving your appetite and curbing cravings, while also helping support your digestive system if you're dealing with stomach issues. Mixing and drinking it is simple—just follow the directions on the back of the package. One bag gives you a generous amount that lasts a long time for a single person. Compared to other brands on the market, the price is unbeatable for this level of quality.

I’m sure this is great for humans, so no qualms in that arena (hence the 3 stars). IF YOU’RE CONSIDERING THIS FOR YOUR CAT, LOOK ELSEWHERE.I turned to this in hopes of aiding my 8 yo, 13 lb male tabby whose BMs (smaller, hard-ish) have some room for improvement. I’ve had him on liquid probiotic supplements to no avail for the last 6 months and turned to this hoping for some actual results. He only eats wet food so I wasn’t too worried about the potential for obstruction due to lack of water and I started off giving him 1/8 tsp per day (in food) just to be cautious. I didn’t notice any change in the first week and by the second week, he was peeing less which started to concern me. By the end of the second week he was peeing only once in 24 hours (and a much smaller than usual amount) which is totally not normal and was extremely concerning. I cut out the psyllium husk powder and he thankfully went back to urinating normally (it took two days for him to be totally back to normal urine output). All the while, still not seeing any improvement in his daily business.I cannot stress how upsetting and nerve-racking this experience was as the entire time he was eating and acting normal so unless you’re a person who’s very observant re their litter habits daily (or in my case, multiple times a day), you could miss this. In short, even a cat on a wet food only diet can become extremely dehydrated from only 1/8 tsp a day. THIS IS NOT WORTH TRYING, IMO.I found a probiotic powder (Fera Pets Probiotic + Prebiotics) that’s working wonders in the BM Dept- if only I had found that first before going through this hell. I feel awful for putting him through this and hope my experience can steer other cat parents away from it.Best of luck to all!

I will state that it is not for everyone however the clinical dose of husk is 7 to 20+ grams a day so you have to take more than 4 or 6 teaspoons of this thing to get the benefits does it work I have yet to get the results however according to multiple studies this should work within the correct dosage. Tate isnt the best but you can add lemonade or something to help it go down. Once its down you are done.

I bought this for gluten free baking and tested it in a few different bread recipes. I mainly wanted structure and fiber without changing the look of the final loaf too much. Psyllium husk is a solid binder, but this is one of those brands that changes color when baked.The powder itself is very finely ground and easy to work with. It mixes into dough smoothly with no clumping and behaves like psyllium usually does. It thickens well and helps hold everything together. From a texture standpoint, the breads actually came out decent and held their shape.The downside is the color. Every loaf and roll I baked turned purple or grayish purple once it hit the oven. It is noticeable and honestly not very appetizing, especially if you are baking for other people. I have since learned that you need a lighter or blonde psyllium husk to avoid this, so that is on me, but it is still worth mentioning.

Has a muddy colour and taste. Tried the first serving and will not finish the rest. Bag does not reseal properly. Will never buy this brand again.
