Works well but buzzes
First things first dont lose the instruction manual as it has all the codes to change the modes of the scanner. Also when the scanner is facing upright it buzzes, turn it over and it is less. Emailed the seller about it and got no response. Apart from that seems to work ok

Brilliant for cataloguing our book collection; I'm very impressed.
Over the years, my wife and I have collected a very large number of books. We have always wanted to catalogue them but the task was constantly expanding, and just too daunting to attempt manually. However, it seemed likely that there could be a digital solution using the books’ ISBN numbers. As there is an ISBN barcode on most books, and all new books, I ordered the ANNLOV Barcode Scanner in the hope of making the task manageable. The scanner is powered by a 1,000mAh, which is charged by a USB connection. Charging is quick and battery life is excellent. A comprehensive User Manual is provided, which has been translated from Chinese. It is, however reasonably usable and many of the scanner functions can be set by scanning barcodes in the manual. The scanner connects to Android, IOS and Windows by Bluetooth and also by a wired USB connection. A USB dongle is provided for use with devices that don’t support Bluetooth. I connected it to my Windows 10 PC and my Android tablet and smartphone without problems.Scans can be sent directly to a PC or smart device, or stored in the internal memory to be batch uploaded at a later time.I found a free ISBN look-up website and used the scanner to input the number; it effectively works as a keyboard. The site returns comprehensive data which I am manually copying into a spreadsheet. Having established the principle, I’m now looking for an app that will automate the transfer, but even without this, the task has become manageable..I’m not sure how well this scanner would perform in an industrial situation, but for me it has solved a long standing problem, and I’m very impressed with it.

A Very Surprisingly Brilliant Piece Of Kit
I have connected this to my iPad Pro 11” 2018 model via Bluetooth and to be fair I had little to no hope for this to actually be any use at all but I was a little excited testing it out.Reading the very detailed manual it states the internal memory can store more than 50,000 pieces! Insane for such a small and cheaply priced scanner. In more detail then -To pair via Bluetooth you need to turn on by pressing the power on button once then hold the large scan button for 8 seconds whilst iPad Bluetooth settings are open then wait to hear loud beeps and you will see the name “BarCode scannerHID“ pop up. Tap it and you’re off.I tested on a lot of Amazon barcodes (of course) by just scanning and scanning into notes app and the scanner is rapidly fast! This would be useful for scanning Amazon shipments etc if needed before the relevant shipping happens. I can see no reason why this wont scan into Microsoft office files so this would be extremely useful to log scannable serial numbers of any item to keep a log of them rather than straining eyes to try ad see and type them. One thing I did notice is that on the slightly blurry Amazon product code barcode - the scanner couldn’t read it. It wasn’t an unreadable label so just be wary of that if your printer isn’t set up properly or toner/ink is low creating a poor print.Useful for maybe mobile technicians who may use serial number log calls reached to bring up customer info or even warehouse auditing companies needing a portable scanner! All in all - this is one very handy product and I’m certain if i had spent £40 on it I’d be more than happy. If I haven’t got a use for it now - I will have to find one for sure!

Works well, if a bit clunky
This is a review of ANNLOV Barcode Scanner Portable 1D Wireless Bluetooth Bar Code Reader Compatible with Windows...Here we have a simple, no-frills barcode scanner. The one I'd used before had a pistol-grip shape whereas this is just a block. The sizing details are given on the product page.It comes with a 1000mAh battery which (per the product details) should last 15 hours of continuous use (although the manual says 8 hours). There's a barcode in the manual that you can scan to find out how much (in percentage terms) of the battery remains. It charges via the (supplied) USB cable. It comes with a dongle. I use it with my PC but I believe it can also be used with a mobile phone. There's only two buttons on the unit - power on/off and scan.I wanted to scan barcodes of books into the Collectorz cataloguing programme. Seems to work fine - once you scan a barcode it enters it into whatever programme you have open. Works just as well getting data into Word or Excel. There are two modes - either data is sent immediately upon scanning or it is stored internally (on the 16MB of memory) until you tell the unit to transit all the data. The latter is useful if you are out of range on your PC.The two modes are changed by scanning a barcode in the manual.I always lose manuals so I was hoping to get a pdf version. The company website is annlov.net but I get a timeout error when trying to connect. I've not been able to find a digital version of the manual which is disappointing. So - it's basic but it works. At, currently, 36GBP it's a little expensive compared to some others. If you're doing a lot of scanning I'd probably recommend a pistol-grip version.
