Yeah, pretty damn good
The whole thing comes together in a few min with just gravity and a mallet (preferably not metal to avoid harming the finish). The raw materials themselves aren't exactly premium, but how the assembly comes together is ingenious enough to make this product well worth the money. The shelf is very structurally sound once fully assembled. I hoard books and magazines, and having stuffed the shelf to capacity has not effected the integrity of the shelf in any way. Decent clean industrial look with an understated and durable finish. I wouldn't display trophies with them in the living room; but for pure functionality it's a winner. Breaking everything back down is almost just as easy as it was to assemble.

Good for extra storage
Negatives first: Found it cheaper online at a big box store after I already bought this. Took 10 days to receive even though at the time of purchase, it was Prime eligible. Assembly is much easier with two people but can be done with one. The powder coating scraps off easily.Positives: Great for smaller spaces, most shelving units are 36 inches wide and this is only 30 inches which is harder to find. Fairly sturdy. Perfect extra storage for a tight space, especially a laundry room.If you are looking for a nice shelving unit to be on display, don't get this. However if you want to organize a garage, laundry room, utility closet, etc, this shelf is perfect.

Go to the Box store
When I received this rack the wood in it was broken off and warped. This rack is not as good as the one I could have gotten from the big box store chair. I did arrived in a good timeframe, but I should have went and picked one up form the store. I was no real savings in this rack.

not what I expected...really light weight
Gorilla Racks to me have always had a great reputation of being heavy duty quality shelves. So when I bought these I expected the same thing. Unfortunately that is not the case. While they are easy to assemble and come with instructions for either a bench type shelf or the 5 tier the weight of the metal and shelving wood are very light. I am using them in the kitchen to put my mixing bowls, mixer, bowls, and misc things on...so not a lot of weight. They are a bit wobbly (sorry not really sure of a better way to explain them) and the shelf wood is pretty thin so it really doesn't add any stability. I won't be buying anymore.

Average shelving at a low price
The shelves were easy to assemble, but not top quality or heavy in feel. Steel and composite board construction, but serves well in the garage.

Stronger than Mama Fratelli! Strong as Sloth!
I was absent minded and didn't measure what I needed, so this shelving unit was actually a little smaller than I'd expected. Still, it's wide-enough for four standard GI surplus ammo cans so that was good enough for me.When you go to assemble them, the parts don't seem very impressive. But if you take the time to tap everything into place, the shelves come together nice and solid. You'll need a rubber mallet for sure. I assembled my set in the standard configuration-- although there are instructions for how to create a sort of workbench. Assembly took several minutes, but would be greatly accelerated if you've got a second set of hands.Silly as it sounds, I can't say enough good things about the final product. Who gets excited about shelves? Well, I spent a lot of time and hand-wringing at Costco, Home Depot, and then finally shopping on Amazon. When I ordered these, I wasn't sure if they'd fit the bill. But I loaded the shelves up with a crazy amount of stuff and was stunned that the shelves didn't buckle or even creak. I just kept loading it up with more stuff, and it seems rock-solid. Nice. One last thing to consider: I looked at other beefy shelves and the shipping weight concerned me. I don't want to get a 65-85 lbs set of shelves because a box like that can really break your back. One of the shelving units I looked at in Costco was over 100 lbs and required two people just to put in the cart. I think the shipping weight on these Gorilla shelves is around 35 lbs and the box was easy to transport in my car and move to the garage for assembly. Again, they don't seem like much. Just stamped and punched steel. But the strength is in the age-old engineering of locking tabs like the ones used here, particle board, and the assembler taking the time to lock everything into place.Very happy with these shelves. Enjoy.

Easily worth the extra money paid.
You get what you pay for, nothing more true is said when it comes to something you have to assemble. I saw some other shelving units on Amazon that were half the price, but were ones that are rickety when assembled and has a lot of sharp edges to cut your hands in between attempts of putting it together and swearing when you bust up a knuckle trying. The reason why I knocked it off a star is the instructions need some work. How they have you put this together could cause some of the railing to buckle and bend if you had to do this by yourself. But once assembled it is a good solid shelf.

Do not buy this shelving unit
I don't think it will support even 100 lbs per shelf because Particle Board shelf are like 3/8 inch thick.stelel material are not heavy enough and whole units shacking. good for very light weight material storage only.I wasted my money buying this.
