Case Logic CD Storage Case
Everything as advertised by vendor, packaged well and fast shipping. Good quality cd case, looks like real leather, most likely not tho?? Very reasonably priced for sure. Would recommend vendor/product to any potential customer out there.

Does the Job
Most of the negative reviews for this Case Logic 336-Disc CD Wallet seem to be coming from people who liked features on the older model that Case Logic either altered or got rid of on the more recent model. I have only ever used the new model, so I can't speak to whether it's better or worse than it used to be, but only to what I encountered when I recently (August 2010) purchased 3 of these units. Like most people, I'd imagine, I'm buying these because I got sick of CD jewel cases taking up so much space in my house. With their 336 disc capacity and nice sale price on Amazon, these Case Logic CD wallets seemed to be the solution. They arrived last week, and I spent a day interacting with these wallets quite a bit as I organized my CDs and put them into the wallets, so here's what I think: 1) Unlike some other reviewers, I don't find the brown stitching on the black wallets to be a big deal. I think these wallets are a bit better looking than many others on the market, even with the brown stitching, but in any case, let's get real - they're CD wallets, so they were never going to be beautiful. The color of the stitching isn't really what's holding them back from being an aesthetic asset to your home. CD wallets are depressing to look at no matter what. You will be happier if you store them in a cabinet out of sight, whatever color their stitching happens to be. 2) These wallets have an awesome capacity, and they are able to lie impressively flat almost to the last few pages of a wallet that has been filled with liner notes and CDs stored in the same pocket (i.e. making it overstuffed, since they recommend separating them, but I have too many CDs and didn't like to waste the space). I also really like the flat file portion in the front of the wallet, which is great for storing those fat booklets that sometimes come in CDs instead of standard liner notes, or just CDs that you want to be able to access quickly. Being able to remove this flat file wouldn't have added anything to my experience, but I understand why people who enjoyed that feature on the last model might be bitter that it's been removed. I would never have taken it out, though, so it's no biggie to me personally that it's no longer removable. 3) The handle seems really sturdy, and these store really nicely, keeping your CDs neat and dust free. Perhaps it would have been nice to be able to label the handles, as someone suggested you could on a previous model, but I tend to use our P-Touch Label Maker for stuff like this anyway, since it looks neater than handwritten labels, so again, no real biggie to me, and frankly the profile looks neater without the plastic sleeve on the handle that you'd need for a label. Bottom line: My expectations were pretty basic: I just wanted a functional and durable-seeming CD wallet that held a lot of CDs and didn't cost too much loot. This Case Logic model fit the bill, so I'm happy with my purchase.

CD Organization Heaven!
I did a lot of research before buying this 336 capacity Case Logic case and I don't think there is a better option out there. From the zipper to the protective sleeves, everything about this case seems well made. This item comes with a 25 year warranty from Case Logic. It's nice to see a long warranty from a manufacture like this as it shows they stand behind their product. You can fit a cd and it's liner notes in the same sleeve but it's a tight fit that makes it difficult to remove either. If you want to put the liner notes with the CD I recommend putting them side by side in separate sleeves. This case had a nice high end feel and look to it. The black leather is nice and I think the brown stitching is a nice touch. Nothing feels cheap about this case and I know it will last a long time as long as I take care of it. The sleeves are big enough to fit CD's in and get them out easy yet tight enough so that they won't fall out. The sleeves won't scratch your discs. My favorite feature about this case is the quick access sleeves that are available to you right away when you open the binder. These sleeves save so much time because they allow you to put up to 16 cd's/dvd's right in the front so you don't have to flip through a bunch of pages to find the media you are currently enjoying. I got this case for just over $30. Great value. If you want to keep your cd/dvd collection clean and organized so they will last a lifetime and be easily found this is what you should get.

Great capacity, hefty when full
We got this to load up our DVD's into instead of trying to keep all the plactic cases organized in some kind of tower/shelving unit. The main reason we did this was because our kids loved dispersing the dvd cases all over the room whenever they could. We found that the dvd's fit easily into the sleeves, and that the case easly fit all the discs at full capacity. We have noticed that the thing gets quite heavy when it's fully loaded, so it's not something you would want to put somewhere hard to get to, or where you might need to pull/access it from an awkward angle. We also were a bit nervous getting rid of all our plastic dvd cases, but once we took the plunge, we haven't looked back. We never referred to the chapter listings they provide in the case, and now, as soon as we buy a dvd, we immediately just remove the disc(s), place them in their new home - the nice case, and trash the rest of the packaging. If more than half full, you really can't stand the case up on any of its edges without some kind of support, as the weight will work towards bending the sides of it and eventually making it collapse. The kids have climbed all over it and it hasn't torn or become unfunctional, however the front and back have gotten creased from the kids playing with it/using it as a seat. One thing to note, it that the inside cover disc holders, the "quick access" ones, start off very tight and makes it fairly difficult to remove if you slide the discs all the way down inside each space. I am sure they would stretch with some time and use, but we never put many discs in them and they have remained a fairly tight fit. All in all, a good case, and better than the DVD specivic case which has a spot for the cover art/chapters. Who starts a movie in the middle and needs to refer to those instead of the on-screen chapter listing anyway? We just opted for the regular CD/DVD pages and it has worked great for us!

Good case. Nice capacity. I use it for my medical CDs. Very happy with it. The color I got was the faux leather black.

For 6 dollars and change this us a perfecly good CD/DVD wallet
I don't understand all the negative reviews. So this isn't constructed in the sturdiest of ways! So what? For 6 bucks and change what would you expect? This wallet does the job perfectly well. It store 32 CD/DVDs, and fits into a small area, like a small cabinet or the glove compartment of your car (although it shouldn't be kept in a hot car). It's not meant to be part of a complex storage strategy for CD/DVDs because it is too small. It is very portable, easily moved from room to room, and, for me, useful to house CD/DVDs of a certain type or genre, or involving a particular artist that I am listening, to or viewing, one's favorite, or CD/DVDs that have recently arrived, and one is intending to listen to/view. It allows you to remove the CD/DVDs from their clumsey plastic containrds and place them in a convenient new location, thereby being able to get rid of the plastic containers, many of whitch are defective anyway.
