Whole Dates

These are the best -- and the biggest -- Medjool dates I've ever had in California! Super happy with the quality... took a while to ship but hey, times are complicated. These are very large dates, and super fresh, and the box is easy to slide open for snacking whenever you want. Sweet, juicy (Medjool style, more meaty than say Bam dates), and did I mention large? Also, in case you store them in the open, the packaging itself has a very classy retro look. If you've never tried really fresh dates you owe it to yourself: even the "fresh" stuff at your health-food store is dry and sad by comparison. I highly recommend these dates and will order more as soon as I finish eating the two boxes I bought, which may take a while. Super healthy, super tasty, and good value for money.

I've always loved dates - they're my favorite healthy / vegan snack, and I've tried dozens of brands. When I saw the Joolies Instagram ad, I immediately knew I had to buy them. NOTE: this review is for the non-pitted version. I couldn't be happier with my purchase - these are by far the best medjool dates that I've tried! They seem extremely fresh (perfect chewy texture, right level of sweetness), and I love the fun shareable packaging (with built-in pit disposal!) and organic farm-to-table focus. I never know what quality I'm getting when I buy dates at the supermarket - I've ended up throwing out mostly full packages of subpar quality dates more than a few times... I'm so glad to have finally found a premium, quality-focused brand!

I was overwhelmed with the flavor and quality of these dates. Every one was moist and plump. Date after date had that caramel taste that can only come from a well grown and handle date. Love the taste. While I really like the box and how it was packaged within, can't help to think if a cheaper set up would give me more delicious dates... I like the box but would easily trade off to have even more dates. The quality is there for sure but cost is a bit up there, but that's only because they are so good that you'll eat a whole box at a sitting. Yes, that good.

I LOVE these bad boys. The idea of fresh, organic, super-sharable and snackable dates served up in fun and sustainable packaging has made a bona fide Joolies fan out of me. I love this 'Whole' variety because they come in a convenient box that's designed like an easy shelf for the dates, so you can just pull the box out of the fridge and serve it up when you've got company over. There's even a little hole in the packaging for you and friends to toss date pits into, so there's no mess or awkwardness the way it usually is with other dates. Five freaking stars!

Update: I typically break open dates with my fingers and remove the pit prior to eating them. These Joolies dates are not soft enough to open with your hands. I’ve had to therefore take a small bite in order to get to the middle to remove the pit. Big mistake with these dates!!! I’ve found many dates in my two boxes that are full of black mold on the inside, which have led me to spit them out and throw them away. I do not like the texture of these dates at all and definitely do not like the black mold! I’ve rarely encountered mold in other brands of dates, however it has happened enough times for me to always inspect the inside of dates before putting them in my mouth again. I will not purchase again. There was just not enough flavor in these compared to the ones I normally buy and had to throw out too many due to black mold. Cute box though.

Great product it’s just overpriced for the amount you get. The flavor is not very sweet as you would find in that kind of dates when you get it from its origin.

These are the most incredible organic medjool dates I’ve ever tasted! I just bought these a few days ago and have already gone through a whole box. I used to buy dates at my local grocery store, but they don’t even compare to Joolies! So fresh, plump and juicy 😍 I like to stuff them with almond butter and shredded coconut for a yummy healthy snack. So delicious when I have a sweet tooth! If you’re looking for a natural, vegan, paleo, healthy treat then look no further than these Joolies organic medjool dates! Can’t praise them enough!!

They taste great (sweet with that date flavor, and no mold). However, they are as hard as a rock. Must not be the season. Soaking doesn’t seem to help much either. They are DRY. Won’t order again.
