FOREST PILOT 3pc Detachable Walking Stick Pine Handle 55 Inches

I am ending a 4 month Hiking experience in Scotland, Turkey, Greece, Crete, Malta and Spain. This Walking Stick is GREAT! No Problems at all -except going through Security at Airport :-). My experience with the Walking Stick at Security Checkpoints - better to have it put together and using than in pieces. Simply hand to the TSA Agent for separate screening. Otherwise, TSA, World-Wide, has a tendency to pull it from your bag/backpack and anything with it…..Have used every day of this Adventure and the more I utilize the Walking Stick - the more I like it. Strong-Study and just the right length for the ups/downs of Hiking and all that entails. Had a Carpenter friend re-do the finish of the Stick to make it look like Hickory….. Perfect. On the trail or in Cities - many comments about - What a Beautiful Stick! Just returned from a 5 mile hike. I am duly impressed with this Hiking Stick. Sturdy/strong/lightweight and I was pleasantly surprised with the strength of the leather wrapped grip. When I read the description and looked at the foto before I purchased, I thought to myself - I will be replacing. Nope, just like the Hiking Stick, Quality/strong and well secured. I gave the Stick a 4+ because one of the sections does not sit flush with the connecting piece and is more difficult to screw in/connect. Hmm.... will this impact the durability/strength when I need it most when I Hike the El Camino in Portugal and Spiritual Walks in Scotland in the late Summer? Would I buy again - Yes!

I bought two of these for my husband hoping they would help him feel more stable walking on all surfaces, including unlevel, rocky, grassy, and steps. Because the three pieces make a taller stick, his hand are in a more natural position and his wrist isn't wrenched downward in a horizontal position trying to balance on a traditional cane. If he wants to use a shorter stick, he can use two pieces but still is able to hold the knob end in a position that is more comfortable than holding an "L" shape handle. Having two was a perfect solution for making his like easier.

Quality, just right size, convenient to carry in motorcycle

I bought this to use a cosplay prop as a walking stick that I would be able to easily store and transport in a regular suitcase on a plane. I needed a walking stick that at least appeared to be wooden so normal collapsible metal hiking sticks would never work and a solid single piece wooden walking stick has transportation concerns. For my purposes this works perfectly. For anyone looking for a hiking stick, keep looking elsewhere. Construction: Doesn't feel like Solid Wood. Maybe I am wrong but it feels to me like it is either not solid or not wood. It does look like wood which works for my cosplay needs. The joints do not perfectly line up. Also either as a result of the joints or the imperfection of the pieces the stick isnt entirely straight, there is a slight bend. All of this means I would not want to put any real weight on the stick in a hiking situation. Leather pouch is clearly not leather but plastic, which is just a fraudulent product description. Compass. Yes there is a disk inside the top with NESW on it but it doesn't point N. I can move the stick in such a way that I can make the disc point in whatever direction I want. Green 'paracord' that could pull a certain weight in an emergency... I don't know if it would hold any about of weight and I cant see how one would even unravel it to use it in an emergency. It looks nice and makes a soft section to hold below the carved handle so I am not about to destroy mine in an attempt to figure it out. Works for my needs. Unlikely to work as a real hiking stick.

I am very pleased with the quality of this walking stick. I only used 2 of the 3 sections, as I’m looking for a walking stick to use while I walk around town. I am an avid walker in the good weather. Unfortunately in 2023 I was attacked by a loose German Shepherd. She bit me and I needed 8 stitches to close the wound. I have pepper spray, but state law prohibits my carrying anything that could be considered a “weapon”. I’ve searched for a long time for a walking stick that would help me keep my balance on uneven sidewalks and pavement and serve as protection if I ever need it again. This walking stick is substantial, is comfortable in the hand, has a wrist loop, and can be used for hiking as well by adding the third section. The little compass was a nice addition. I know I’m going to feel safer. And I think the price is quite reasonable.

Great value and workmanship. You can omit the center section for young kids and save it for when they get bigger. My 4 year old flipped out when we gave it to him.

Perfect fit and sturdy. The grip is very slick, so I had to add a shrink wrap rubber sleeve. The compass is tiny.

Nice walking stick and no issue at the airport security. That’s a win!

As a senior, solo hiker with mobility issues, I’ve used a sturdy, hardwood walking stick for years. Sadly, I lost mine recently and decided to replace it with one that I might bring with me while flying. While this item looked acceptable, it has turned out to be surprisingly solid! Looks great, as well. I’m very pleased with it.
