E-MINI AND MICRO E-MINI TRADING: Three Models to Create Wealth for All Traders Review: An excellent guide that describes an index futures investment strategy that works - This is a very valuable book. Dr Anderson is a rare individual in the world of trading: an amateur trader who has made a substantial amount of money in the index futures market using a strategy that he developed himself. In this book he shares this strategy with an amateur audience in a simple and clear manner to equip them to share in his success. He expects nothing in return: no software purchase or subscription to a pay site or blog. His goal is simply to show you that you too, as an amateur trader and against all odds, can do what he has done and continues to do, which is to extract a steady income from the market by following his instruction in a disciplined and patient manner. Dr Anderson's strategy is broadly composed of two parts: 1. A set of three methods that give unambiguous buy and sell signals which are used to enter and exit in the market in either long or short trades, and 2. Guidelines on the fuzzier part of trading, namely how to acquire and develop the insight to use the signals to trade effectively, including the importance of news headlines and reading market sentiment. From the above it should be obvious that Dr Anderson's buy and sell indicators cannot be used robotically and in isolation. He clearly explains why it is important to work diligently on developing your sense for the market and how he went about and continues to go about gaining that insight and experience. In the knowledge that the second part of his strategy, which includes what he refers to as the 'Gestalt of trading', is the hardest part, Dr Anderson maintains a weekly blog, where he freely shares his current market insights and also shares, in general terms, which positions he currently holds in the market so that his readers and followers can develop their own sense of how to become as successful as he has been for a number of years (to my knowledge, 8 years at the time of this review). Dr Anderson updates his blog every Tuesday morning (in the US), and again, the information that he shares on this platform is shared freely and with no payment or even a sign-up or login required. This brings me to the million dollar question: does it work? And I am happy that I can honestly report that, yes, it works. I purchased Dr Anderson's book three months prior to the writing of this review. In that time I have seen my initial capital investment grow by more than 60%. I have to emphasise that the past three months have been a period of exceptional opportunity to make money with Dr Anderson's strategy, with US markets reaching high upon high in a very, very successful cycle of economic activity in the USA. So, I have no expectation to maintain the same level of results every three months going forward; I do, however, expect my return to remain positive and to become a steady income stream to substantially subsidise my regular salaried income. I have little doubt that in the same three months, with market conditions as favourable as they have been, the majority of amateur investors who invested their money in the risky derivative market have most likely lost a lot of money. A quick word on who this book is for: if you are a complete newcomer to stock market and derivate market investment, you will need additional resources to understand much of what is explained in the book. If you have no idea how the financial markets work, I would suggest that you read this book in combination with other texts that will assist you, perhaps something like the 'For Dummies' offerings. If, however, you are, like I have been, experienced in the markets, but you've shied away from the risky world of derivatives, then you will likely be able to absorb and apply the information in this book very readily and you will soon be on your way to profits, again, as I have been. I must also express my gratitude to Dr Anderson for sharing the knowledge and insight that he had gained over a long period and at great effort and risk to himself so freely with a global audience. Such unselfish dedication to bettering strangers' lives is rare indeed today. Thank you, sir. And finally, as Dr Anderson writes in his book: You too can do this. Review: 3 Nearly Complete Trading Strategies With Generous Guidance Provided By Author - This book serves three different trading strategies (called Models 1,2,3 in the text) explained as clearly as possible by the author. Models 1 and 2 can be safely applied in bull and bear markets. After reading the text and corresponding with the author, my impression is this presentation is not a scam and was written with great care. I have absolutely no doubt the author genuinely wants to help his readers. So, I give 5 stars. It is possible to make spectacular returns on a monthly basis with Model 1 and even a daily basis with Model 2 as espoused in the book. However, you'll notice I write above that the author explains the strategies "as clearly as possible." It may be difficult for some readers to exit positions in a manner that feels satisfactory because optimum exit points are not as clearly recognizable as entry points and futures prices change quickly. Points at which one MUST exit are defined, but that's not when the author appears often to exit, and that may be a stumbling block for readers who are learning the strategies. An additional difficulty worth consideration is that the leverage aspect of futures confers the approaches described here with a certain intensity that many readers (like me) may find difficult to psychologically manage. The author advises paper-trading for months prior to trading live. This is critical advice. The inevitable hard knocks of utilizing these strategies will be far less expensive lessons for those who follow the author's instructions and advice as carefully as possible. Even if readers opt not to follow the strategies, however, the book also serves as an excellent introduction to the Index futures available for the major American equity indexes. Charles Ellis, in his cogent book "The Loser's Game," suggests that to obtain an edge in investing, one must endure one or more forms of pain: physical pain (working much harder than most), intellectual pain (worker much smarter than most) and/or emotional pain (placing positions that are emotionally uncomfortable). There is not anything intellectually difficult in this approach, but discipline is required and there is a certain emotional challenge to maintaining positions. The results are worth the effort.

Three real systems from this book or his former book
I don’t often leave reviews but Trading E-Mini Stock Index Futures is worth reviewing for the good and the bad. Honestly on many levels I did not like the book, but maybe part of this is because I do have experience in indicators and candlestick charts. So much of the book was over simplified and a waste to many with any experience with moving averages and candlesticks. However, there are some decent nuggets in this book. His 3 models for success are well explained. Those 60 pages of the book are what I was buying and his experience trading his models and explaining those 3 models seem very worth the cost of the book. Those pages are worth 5-stars. Now please Beware… He published a newer book, E-Mini and Micro E-Mini Trading: Three Models to Create Wealth for all Traders, in June of 2019. Because of my enjoyment of his first book I ordered the second and I was very disappointed because it was the same 2017 book word for word and paragraph for paragraph with the additional math added in to show profit and cost of E-Mini versus Micro E-Mini. This new book should have been listed as a new and updated edition of the original book. It is at least 90% the same exact text paragraph per paragraph. Either book has the same exact explanation of his 3-models of trading. The newer edition shows the math for e-minis and micro e-minis. If I were the author I would clearly note that the new book is some updates of the prior version and make it clear that it is not new material but merely updated to include the newer micro contracts. So, in the end, either of the 2 books is worth a read… definitely NOT both. The 3-models are interesting and in particular I liked his 3rd model for recovering from a 10% to 20% to 30% to 40% pullback in the market. There is some good logic and a relatively simple explanation and the math makes sense. You go in with a defined risk realizing that it can’t go to zero.

Clear and concise
Well written and informative. Covers the subject without overcomplicating the process. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn how to trade Mini or Micro futures.

Great Book On The Subject
I had been studying the subject of trading for a while, so by the time I came across this book I was already familiar with many of its concepts. That said, the author introduced me to the world of E-Mini and E-Micro Mini trading, something I had no knowledge of. If you're already an experienced trader, you'll still learn from Chapters 5 and 6 where the author discusses the basics, then move over to Chapters 8 thru 10 where the author reveals three useful trading strategies. I have come across many self-published books on investing, and many of them are disappointing. This is vastly better than most.

Fairly basic book
The book seemed very simplistic. May be good for a beginner. The author seems genuine which was a positive, the book just wasn't that useful for me.

A sincere yet dull trading cookbook
Although the author is an honest pedagogist boasting an extensive academical background, his book about trading the Futures is but an annoying replay of many others. Nothing groundbreaking here (it's not supposed to be anyway), but a couple of outdated, indicators-based strategies, which have long ago demonstrated their inefficiency when confronted to the modern world of ultra fast paced trading ruled by algorithms. Despite his noble educative intentions, Doc Anderson misses the point by not addressing the real forces behind the financial markets and by not disclosing strategies that actually work when such underlying masses-in-motion are properly accounted for.

Practical and Concise
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in trading index futures. The book will provide no-fluff, straightforward models for trading index futures in different market conditions. The book is practical, and the author provides all the information you need to start trading or practice trading (simulated or paper trading is recommended). The author has six YouTube videos and a website with a blog, as well. As promised, there are no extra fees or memberships here. I found the book helpful for adding to and fine tuning my own approach to the markets.
