Oxford File Cabinet, 2-Drawer, White

The quality looks much better than I had anticipated. It's got some weight to it, so does not look or feel like particle board. It looks and feels quite sturdy. What I did not like about it, was while assembling, there were some holes that screws needed to be forced thru to the opposite end....had the holes only been drilled all the way thru, it would have been much easier. I do not own a power drill so was forced to use a hammer and nail to make the holes go all the way thru the board before i could get the screws thru the board by hand. That cost me some time while assembling, so it took much longer than i wanted. Other than that issue, everything else about this file cabinet is great and i would recommend it for purchase (just make sure you have a power drill!).

Home Decorators Collections gets major props for their customer service. The front of one of the drawers arrived with a big gash in it. I called them, had a short pleasant chat with one of their reps, and they quickly sent me a new one free of charge. For anyone who has assembled boatloads of Ikea furniture like I have: it was pretty similar in terms of assembly effort, but it looks more expensive and feels much sturdier - the cabinet doesn't wiggle at all and the sliding arms on the drawers feel solid. Very happy to finally have a cute little file cabinet/printer stand instead of subjecting my roommates to haphazard piles of bills! (Actually I still do that, too.)

This cabinet arrived 5 days earlier than the first day of the expected delivery date, which would be great if I were home. Luckily, someone in my building signed for it, and it made it inside. But, I was worried for hours and made some friends peek into my building to see if it was in fact there while I was away. That aside, every part was in the box and properly labeled. The cabinet is made of a nice, sturdy wood, so it's very heavy (the box says 46 lbs) so I took it upstairs to my apt. in several trips. It took me 2.5 hours to put it together by myself. The directions suggest two people, which would have made it easier, but whatever. So it looks really nice, although the bottom drawer doesn't track properly. It happened because I couldn't quite get the sides to line up properly and I had twisted the screw things in and I couldn't undo them. The turny things wouldn't come out (to be technical, ha) so it is what it is. The top drawer fits fine and slides smoothly. Anyway, I can live with it. Here is a tip: one of the first directions is to separate the metal tracks. They're oily, so I suggest that you do that after you put together the drawers and before you put together the main cabinet sides. And keep wet towels nearby to wipe your hands off.

This is an incredible filing cabinet. Very heavy duty material. The directions are very good. They tell you to have 2 people put it together and it is very necessary. It went together very well with no drama. I am very pleased with the quality. I had read the reviews and most were very good. I decided to take a chance and it was very much worth it.

Very sturdy well made, nice white paint finish, I would recommend this product. Just as pictured more sturdy then most.

I loved the look of the cabinet and it seems sturdy. We began putting it together and found the drawer glide on one drawer broken. We attempted to contact the company and got an email stating they received the complaint, but never received another glide.We bought one at Home Depot and put it together. Drawer with New glide worked perfectly. The other drawer won't go in with the original glide. Will need to go back to buy another one and hope the dimensions are correct and both drawers fit. SO FRUSTRATING.

yes very well constructed and easy to put together. My son had no problem doing it.

I am very satisfied wih the quality, value, and functionality of the file. We are using it to house all our cookbooks and recipes in our kitchen. The fictions for assembly are sparse, and at times confusing, but the file itself is a quality product.
