Does anyone know if this would fit on a Strider balance bike?

I have a strider bike, but this basket is on another bike. It should fit great across. We used zip ties to put it on. If you have the handle bars down all the way it is probably a little close to the wheel, but we've never used the strider bike with the handle bars all the way lowered. They'd probably be okay if they were, just close. We love this basket, we've had it a year and the lights still work.

It should, you attach the basket with zip ties that are included and it also has fasteners attached and you could put those over the handle bars.

What are the dimensions of the basket? Big enough for an 8 year old?

Yes - medium size for a child's basket. My girls are 9 years and it is just right for their bikes.
