Excellent mechanical keyboard
I’ve been really happy with the SteelSeries Apex 7 mechanical gaming keyboard. The build quality feels great, the keys are satisfying to use, and it has a premium feel compared to other keyboards I’ve owned. The RGB lighting and OLED display are nice added features, and the overall design looks great on my desk. Definitely a great keyboard for both gaming and everyday use.

Great keyboard
Keyboard surprised me. Not exactly what I was looking for as I like clicky keyboards, but smooth typing and feels great. Solid construction.

Good keyboard Nice switches
I am not good at English,I use hard for gaming and working on Photoshop. Both Windows and Mac work great. This switch is soft no need to press hard and hurt my hand like my previous keyboards(g512 and corsair K70 lp). That is main reason why I buy this keyboard. And overall is better too. Likes - The switches is soft and fun for using. - Great RGB light. - Quality build and premium looks. - The switch have nice sound but pretty loud. Only one thing to complain - The software. save profile in On-board profile is not work .Save will work only in Configurations and drag the profile to On-board profile. At the first times I thought My onboard memory was broke because the save is not work but it was just confusing interface.

Smooth!
This keyboard is smooth, feels great on the fingertips, super responsive, easy to adapt to within 1 minute of use. Color settings have high customization. The OLED screen can be customized with any image you want (via it's dimensions),. You can switch to/use discord and custom discord colors without having to alt+tab. Volume roller feels quality and has some friction instead of just being free-floating. On that note, the entire keyboard feels quality. Super solid. Wrist-rest is very comfortable and a nice soft-touch material. It is also magnetic so you don't have to worry about breaking tabs or having cheap creaking. The USB pass-through is MASSIVELY useful. I use the slot to apply the USB wireless transmitter for the Steelseries 650 mouse. What else is there to say? Just buy it.

Great keyboard, but clicks are too loud for my use cases
Great keyboard, but I returned it since the click noise was too loud. Great build, heavy duty, Heavy (won't slide around on desk). Good key illumination, customizable (I just used white). Nice design (optional tilt, magnetic palm rest is great, USB pass-through, on-keyboard scroll wheel for volume, easy customization). The only problem is that my home office is close to our bedroom. I often work at night, as I did the first night I got the keyboard. I had to stop; the clicking was keeping my spouse awake. I also type notes a lot during Zoom calls; the clicking might be annoyingly audible (though I did not test that). Return was not free. $7 to pay for UPS. Not unreasonable, and probably on the product page somewhere, but that is just a heads up for those used to free returns.

Still works years later
I have been using this keyboard for about four years now, and it has worked reliably the entire time. I honestly do not have any major pros or cons to point out. It still works exactly as it did when I first bought it. At one point I even spilled something on it. I immediately turned it off, flipped it upside down, and let it air dry for a day or two. After that, it had no issues at all. I do not use any of the advanced or specialty features. I do not care much about lighting beyond having enough backlight to see the keys, and it does that just fine. There is nothing about it that feels annoying or unnecessary in day-to-day use. One feature I really appreciate is the USB pass-through. I plug my wireless mouse receiver into the keyboard, then connect the keyboard to my computer or KVM. That makes cable management much simpler since I only have to deal with the keyboard cable. With the wrist rest removed, the keyboard is fairly compact and easy to fit on a desk. The wrist rest itself is very comfortable when I do use it, so it is nice to have the option. I am not a keyboard expert, so I cannot speak to high-end performance details. What I wanted was a reasonably priced keyboard that would last and not fail after a short time. After four years of use, it has done exactly that. I have no complaints

Love how it looks and feels, but came with major issues
1st keyboard that arrived had a line of dead pixels in the OLED screen, but everything else worked fine. Being able to set up custom macros on the fly made my work easier, but I did eventually request an exchange to deal with the damaged OLED screen. The 2nd one had a perfect screen but has issues saving macros. Unline the first one, the only way to save the macros is if you uninstall the SteelSeries Engine 3 software, then set up the macros and save. The worst part is, anytime you want to make any changes, you will have to uninstall and reinstall the software because it will only save the 1st setting after every install. Although it's not perfect, I do worry that the 3rd one will have a different defect, so I'll just deal with the macro issue and keep the current keyboard. Luckily I'm able to save my configurations via cloud storage, so it's not too much of a hassle. Aside from the issues mentioned above, the fact that this keyboard allows you to save 5 different profiles is amazing (a few profiles for party tricks or piano mode). U.I. for the software to change the colors/ reactive features is amazing and the fact that you can remap any key makes my work fly by. UPDATE: Macro issue seems to have resolved on it's own. Not sure if there was an OTA update or not, but I am able to set macros on the fly without any issues

Amazing keyboard if you can ignore the software flaws
I got the red switches and while this is a super loud keyboard, it feels very smooth to type on and very responsive, id maybe suggest at least brown though as resting your hand on this will trigger keys due to the low weight needed. the arm rest is weirdly soft feeling even though its solid and the 2nd usb pass through is nice for attaching mice. the rgb is a bit finicky but love that its per key. the little monitor is great for displaying cpu/gpu temps in an easy to spot area

I absolutely love this keyboard so much I got the MX Cherry Red version as I like quieter keys The RGB and software for it is really simple and fun to use, with also certain apps that change the RGB like League of Legends being able to plug my mouse into the keyboard (wireless anyway) is great for cable management Wrist Rest is super comfy too
