Removes Black, chemical, and Henna dyes . No Ammonia, Bleach Or Peroxide, Yay
Pictures are from the extra strength Color Oops because I forgot to take pics before throwing it out, sorry but both have the same things, just wanted to share the kit contents with everybodyThings to know up front and preparations1 Yes it will remove Henna and chemical dyes, even those applied to previously bleached hair I speak from experience. Because some have asked no it will not restore natural color to bleached hair2 if you have thick, or long hair and especially if your hair has layers of dark dye on it I suggest you buy at least 2 or three kits my hair is thick and had layers of dye so I had to use three.3 Yes it is a bit runny but easily remedied by adding a couple spoonfuls of hair conditioner or pure clear aloe Vera gel it works excellently with this as well and is my fav4 Yes there is a sulfur smell which is easily reduced with added hair conditioner a spoonful but I don't mind it.5 After putting the shower cap on make sure you keep your hair warm I used a heavy towel to wrap around my head it works better holding heat then thin ones6 Yes there is dried out hair after treatment hair conditioning easily fixes this, I also lightly coated my hands with pure coconut oil and used my fingers like a comb through my hair, some times I add a bit of Aloe gel with it and get great results best of all it's all natural no chemicals. Before applying the mixture I lightly coated my hands with all natural coconut oil mixed with some pure aloe gel it helps cut down on dried out hair without interfering with the process7 I did this because I wanted I took two 6 oz bottles put hair conditioner in one shampoo in the other and added 1/4 teaspoon of pure lemon juice to each, pure lemon oil works as well to that I'd add 2 to 3 drops per bottle. I washed my hair with this it acts as a Clarifying shampoo after about 3 shampoos and good lengthy rinses I applied the hair conditioner then put my hair up in a clip and left it in for about 10 minutes. While this sits you can do whatever else you want to do. I noticed after doing this it had lightened some of the darker tones left behind but to be fair my hair did have layers of dye in it so it's to be expectedWonderful alternative to bleaching heavy and dark colors out, it did an excellent job of removing very dark dye from my hair while being super gentle there was no damage left behind or dried out fried hair like hair bleaches do. It also has 3 major benefits there is no ammonia, peroxide, or bleach in it. Yes the other reviewers are right it smells like sulfur but hey here's how I look at it is a small price to pay and a far safer and better alternative to bleaching.which burns hairThe kit I used after the color remover was mixed was a tad runny not a big deal and here's a neat trick I used a really good floral scented hair conditioner mixed about 3 tablespoons in it this thickened it nicely, I also made a discovery the hair conditioner actually reduced the sulfur smell a good deal, and the conditioner did not weaken or ruin the effectiveness of itSulfur smell comes fromOkay I did some research on one of the ingredients that caught my attention [ Hydrosulfite ] definition and description of it are as follows, Hydrosulfite is a chemical used in the manufacture of various things that we use everyday. With water oxydizes to Sodium Bisulfite and later to Sulfur Dioxide. when mixed with certain other.chemicals adds sulfur. It is used to eliminate excess dye, residual oxide, and unintended pigments, remove stains and so much more. way to much to list in this reviewWhat's in the box, and ingredients in the color removerThe kit comes with 2 bottles one marked as part 1 the second as part 2. Part 1's ingredients are Deonized water, Hydrosulfite,, Fragrence, Polysorbate 80, Hydroxyethycellulose, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine,Part 2 , Deonized Water, Citric Acid, Aloe Barbadensis leaf extract, Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolized Soy Protein, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Xanthan Gum. I know this is really long but I wanted give as much info as I could and above all else I hope this helps and that you didn't get a headache reading my review muwhahaha

Things to know if you're removing VERY dark color
This is a great product IF you use it correctly. I've made a couple mistakes using this so let my experiences save you the headache. Background: I naturally have blonde/dirty blonde hair. When it grows in it's straight up translucent, which is great for adding color but makes it difficult to remove. For the past ~3 years I have been various shades of brunette, with the most recent being darkest brown. Since dark colors are hard to maintain on my hair, I wanted to strip the color and recolor with a light brown. Pretty straight forward.I went ahead and did the Color Oops treatment and followed the instructions exactly, which stripped my color down to a light orange. (Ironically, it looked very much like the box). This is NORMAL and totally expected. Just because I'm blonde naturally does not mean this will fully restore my natural color. After a couple years your haircolor will be permanently altered (even if you only use demi-permanent dyes like I did). Now, the box states that you can recolor your hair immediately after doing the treatment. I would NOT recommend this. My recommendation would be to sleep on it and then color the next day. This gives your hair some time to recover. Now if you're impatient like me, be warned: your hair will absorb whatever next dye you put on it like a sponge. So that light brown hair dye I recolored with? Came out incredibly dark. I was basically back to square 1. I've learned that this happens for a couple of reasons: first, your cuticle is wide open after the color oops treatment. Any color you add will be more intense. Second, there is a good chance that particles from your previous color(s) are still in your hair, so when you apply developer they may reactivate and result in a much darker color.So. Make sure you're picking a significantly lighter shade if you're recoloring, or mix your new color with conditioner to dilute the effects. Good luck and don't do what I did!

Did Not Work For Me
My hair pulls red easily when I color. I used a light ash brown permanent color on it, about 2 shades lighter than my natural color, and it turned a copper penny orange. I purchased this product to try to remove that red. Left this product in for the full 20 minutes but it did not even start to subdue the red/copper, and I can't find anything that will. I'll have to put a permanent color over it to hide the red, then start using the demi-permanent I had hoped to switch to earlier. It does stink. Reminds me of BO. But after shampooing and rinsing all those times it was very faint. The odor faded complete the next shampoo. I thought it was stinking like skunk but then realized the odor was coming from the bottles and gloves I had tossed in the trash next to the sink.I had no concept of how long 20 minutes was until I stood under my shower with my back arched and hands up rinsing my hair. I nearly lost the will to live. Tip: Unless you have an endless supply of hot water, adjust the temperature to just lukewarm at the very beginning or you could end up in cold water for the last 5 or 10 minutes. The instructions have you rinsing the product out, then shampoo and rinse for 20 minutes, shampoo and rinse for 5 minutes, shampoo and rinse for 5 minutes, shampoo and rinse for 5 minutes, condition and rinse. The shampoos take me a couple minutes so add it all up and I needed about 40 minutes of hot water. Also, even though this is extra conditioning, it did dry my hair. I put warm coconut oil on it for half an hour before I shampooed the next time, and I'll do it again before the next wash. Be sure to use a protein filler before you color your hair again so the damaged parts don't absorb too much color.

Worked great
I didn't use it correctly so that's an error on my part. It's supposed to be used in heat but I sat basically in front of a fan. It still took the color out and after a couple washes my hair felt fine.
