I purchased these torch lights about 4 months ago, and liked them so much I purchased 4 more! I actually tried two different brands to begin with. The other brand didn't last long at all, and I had to send them back. These look amazingly real, and so far have worked perfectly every night, even on very gloomy and rainy days. I put one set around my pool, and it looks so cool to have tiki torches glowing every evening. I then added them to the walkway from our driveway that goes back to the pool. You can see this walkway from the street. I have so many neighbors commenting on how awesome these look, and they wonder how I keep the torches lit every night. They are amazed when they find out they are solar lights. We live in the Midwest where the weather is cold and snowy in the winter. It is incredible to look out the window and see torches glowing all year long. The option to use different heights is really nice too, giving you a taller torch like height, or a lower lantern type look. This product is well made, looks amazingly like a real flame, and is very sturdy. These would make an excellent and unique gift for that hard to shop for person, and something that anyone would enjoy.

ALERT: Deconstructing the light voids the warranty! This is the by far the best built solar flame light I've bought. I've bought from 8 different sellers. I deconstruct them to rebuild the LED array into other outdoor lights. So I've seen 8 different constructions. This one is truly built to last. First is the color. It's a really nice warm yellow. The diffuser around the LED array is heavier plastic than any other that I've used. The LED array is 96 LED's powered by a 3.7v 2200mah li-on battery securely held inside the array. Second and most important is the construction. 5 screws and 10 snaps hold the fixture together. The opening on the bottom of the LED array is filled with sealant. The white diffuser has both screws and snaps to hold it to the LED array. What truly impressed was the O-ring seal between the diffuser and base. The on/off switch is rubber sealed on the outside and filled with silicone sealant on the inside. All the electrical connections on the solar panel are also covered with sealant to inhibit corrosion. I'll be buying more of these for future outdoor projects. You should buy them, you won't be disappointed.

I've had my solar lights for, I don't know... three... four years? They are awesome. The first night, they seemed so realistic they made me uncomfortable as I went to sleep thinking there was fire flickering in my backyard. The lights have stayed as bright as the day I bought them. Sorry can't pin down the time better--for some reason Amazon didn't let me rate products for a while, and I was bummed because of anything I bought over the years, and I buy a lot here... this product is worth the money. I don't know about the other brands. I think this is one of the first that showed up with the realistic flames. Really adds a cool touch to the back yard/garden koi pond. LOL, we noticed a year later our neighbors had a set without asking us about them! Plastic posts a little flimsy, just be careful sticking them in the ground. Mine have stayed straight, but cheap plastic posts.

3 years later: They are on all the time and still going strong. Relatively easy to assemble. Nice to have short and long pole options. They look very nice, real like flame. Wanted something I did not have to add fuel to or worry about burning my deck. These certainly fit the bill. Easy to access off/on switch. Very happy with these and if I needed more than 4, I would definitely buy another set. One of the lamps has a defective switch. Otherwise, they are wonderful. Lights stay on all night. They are great! They are now two years old. Come on at dusk and off at dawn. Last all night. Very pleased even though one has a defective switch. Winter, Summer, Spring, and Fall, no fail at all.

I love everything about these lights. The look awesome. I've had for several months. My only complaint is the poles crack where they fit together. My lights are in a windy spot and the wind rocks them back and forth and the plastic poles have cracked. I've had to use gorilla tape to wrap around them and it's still not great but better. They just need STRONGER poles. My lights last all night long so that is fantastic. Send me new stronger poles and I would rate a 15 out of 10. :-)

These torches supplement 4 that I bought a couple of years ago and they appear to be good quality and very realistic. All 4 worked, right out of the box, so I switched them off, waited until daylight, switched them back on, and let them do their thing. Granted, it's only been a few days but they are lasting through the night and I will be sure to complain if they don't continue to perform as expected. Naturally, like any photoelectric device, you have to keep the panels clean and there will be variations in charge accumulation with the quality and quantity of daylight they absorb. Li-ion batteries are pretty good and the 2200maH rating leads me to believe we are dealing with 16850 cells here so, expecting many years of service is not unrealistic. If any of these fail, I'll tear them apart and tell you what's inside and what went wrong. In the meantime, no news is good news.

I bought these 6 years ago and they have survived Indiana -20 degree wind-chill winters and 110 degree heat index summers. To say I got my money's worth is an understatement. They work as well as they did when I bought them 6 years ago and they look amazing, just like real flames.
