That's how you know it's spicy. I recommend using this sparingly, and not eating a whole spoonful as a dare. Tastes pretty good, but it's so spicy that you would have to have uranium-lined bowels to seriously use this for the flavour. Overall I probably won't buy it again but there's no reason not to give this five stars -- it has the level of spice one would expect from a sauce called "zombie apocalypse."

I've always enjoyed hot food. Vindaloo used to be my go to curry. Now thats not hot enough. Been trying lot of different hot sauces lately. Bought this one to go in my list. Was not disappointed. Flavour was incredible. Heat was definitely there but not as overpowering as you'd think. Would definitely recommend to any chilli heads. Works out at 100,000 shu!

Very tasty slight kick of carrot an vinegar then the heat kicks in its not unbearable but does have quite a kick to it but because this sauce is natural the burn doesn't last as long as some of the non natural sauces. If you like hot sauce it's a must try kind of sauce

I brought this over a mates house for hot sauce tasting and for the hot tier this was the most favoured of the lot. The flavour tastes great which mainly consists of garlic and pepper. The heat is pretty hot but certainly not the hottest we tried. I would say this is a really good hot sauce for those who like hot sauces in cooking. If you're looking something to blow your head off however, this isn't it.

Probably my favorite hot sauce, very balanced flavour n heat, you feel both no matter how low is your tolerance, I wasn't a chilli head but this one was the starter for me and I absolutely love it

If your completely new to hot source it could be too much. Very hot on the tongue and hits the back of the throat, but still great flavour. Personally I can really taste the Pepper and Carrot. For more experienced people still quite a hot source. Nice instant kick to it but manageable. I’m personally a big fan.

I'm a South Asian from the south of South Asia and this is my grandma's curry level spicy lol I use it as salad dressing. I made a mistake and followed the ratings but srsly take it from me - don't buy if you're looking for the good stuff. This is for people who don't know spice.

Well, prior to this I had ordered the High River Rogue sauce (from Hot Ones S2). That one had Scorpion Peppers and a bit of Ghost and Serrano. Needless to say, this Bhut Jolokia sauce is weird to compare to the High River. It's hotter and it lingers - on your tongue, fingers etc. The flavors are both great and extract free, gluten free so I would say tie. Maybe a slight edge to HRR because with this sauce you taste peppers and no fruit. Zombie Apocalypse has a more favorable consistency. Its very thick. Zombie Apocalyse was great on wings but seeing as how it has Ghost Peppers WASH YOUR HANDS! 5 TIMES! Then sanitize and don't touch your pets. It lingers for a long time. Its hiccup hot as I thought it would be but the flavor is great somehow? 8/10?

Came back to note: I've managed to convince myself its "reasonable" to spend 10 or 12 on a little bottle of hotsauce. Absurd, but I do it. $18 f'ing dollars is prohibitively expensive. WTF, Torch Bearer? Your site is no better, $15 plus $6 shipping!? I wanna recommend this awesome stuff but people will look at me like im an a-hole for recommending a $20 bottle of hotsauce. It is ALMOST worth it, but for the record---i came here to buy a couple bpttles (have bought several before) and will not be purchasing more. At first this stuff was nearly too hot for me...but it tastes so good I keep using it. Came back to order bottle #4 and figured I owed them a review for making such a good sauce. While it is more of a "pepper sludge" consistency, it is blended very smooth. It is amazing on burgers, roasted potatoes, and fries. Oh and some got on some cornbread and that was great, too actually. If you know anyone who talks a big hot sauce game---give em a spoonful of THIS stuff. I don't know of any hotter sauce. This is the end of the line lol. Everything else that might be hotter is just gimmick, intentionally burning and no real flavor. This sauce is really tasty...you just need to really like hot hot hot to enjoy it. This is a different animal from Alvins yellow, Sauce Bae, Spicey Shark....those are all great but for the heat factor-- this one is SOO much hotter. Highly recommended if you can afford $20 on a bottle of hot sauce!!!

I took this sauce first by itself on a spoon prob like 4 drops and it was hot like very hot kinda like on the brink of the hottest my level can tolerate and basically stayed at that spot for a good 5 mins. the flavor is good but it's not my preference I would say it's like a good piano chord tho notes of flavor come in timely manner. I get the citrus the sweet, carrot, the flavors all come in a good order and you can really taste it all detailed and the spice comes in at the end. it's a thicker sauce you can taste bits. so then i ate this sauce with food instead and ill tell you its a bit diff. the heat is still high but i have to use a good amount and the heat isnt there as long so thats cool. I give this sauce a 8.5/10. I prefer my hot sauce to be sweet but if you like more citrus vinegar this is it. I'm going on a hunt for the best and spiciest hot sauces, (done with da bomb, and Dave's gourmet I forgot which one) so far so good this was worth the grab. thanks i would recommend. peace!

I love the taste of this hot sauce and the heat for me is hot but not too hot. I put the money value as a three because I think it's kinda expensive.

Great flavor. For me, I consider this mild but reviews say otherwise. My heat tolerance is extremely high. I think for anyone used to hotter sauces, will be just fine.
