DYMO LabelManager 280 Rechargeable Handheld Label Maker Kit | QWERTY Keyboard | with 2 Rolls of D1 Labels & Carrying Case

I should have bought this years ago........... I already own the Dymo Label Writer 450 which prints paper labels, but I needed one that prints plastic waterproof labels. After a lot of research I opted for this Dymo LabelManager 280 for the following reasons. It has a QWERTY Keyboard (rather than an ABCDE Keyboard) and includes a dedicated Numbers row. It has a Rechargeable Battery plus a Dedicated Charger. It comes with two rolls of D1 Labels. It comes with a Quality, Dedicated, Zipped Carry Case. It has a large LCD Screen. As well as the Keyboard, it also has buttons on the front fascia for on-screen navigation, settings and printing. Notable Points...... The D1 Label widths that can be used with the 280 are 6mm, 9mm and 12mm. Dymo do wider D1 Labels but they will NOT fit the 280. Before inserting the D1 Label Cartridges, it is good practice to take up any slack in the Label's roll by winding the cartridge mechanism in the direction of the arrow a few times, otherwise the label will not feed correctly. Peeling the backing from the printed labels can be a bit fiddly, especially if you have large fingers. The backing strip is split in two and you need to fold the label back on itself longways to split the backing strip and then peel away the two strips. I have found it easier to use a pair of tweezers to grab the backing, rather than risk smudging with my chunky fingers. The basic features of the 280 are simple enough to perform without reading the instructions, however some tasks will involve reading the instructions. The keyboard is a pleasure to use and the data entered is very clear on the LCD Screen, however some of the symbols shown at the top of the screen are tiny and you have to look closely. Overall I am Very Impressed and Highly Recommend the DYMO 280.

WOW, Just WOW! I had a Dymo handheld years ago but never got on with it and it failed to power on after years of no use. I also had the Dymo PNP USB label printer but it was playing up after years of no use so I foolishly bought 2x more on ebay as a backup. All three has now failed and will not show up in the app as connected despite the batteries being charged. So I started looking for another Dymo as I was pleased with the print quality from the PNP printers. This one came up which was more than I wanted to pay but I took the chance. It's just arrived and I've managed to print a few basic labels that i wanted. I used the battery from one of my PNP printers which works fine. I inserted a colour D1 tape I already had and printed using the Basic font size 16 in bold. Very nice. It's intuitive to use as well. It's portable. Lightweight. Nice quality and nice to have case. It DOES come with a UK charger, USB lead and a two pin charger along with a 9mm black on clear tape x7m and a 12mm black on white tape x7m. It would have been nice if the display was backlit. I don't know what your printing needs are but I just want to label things like plugs etc and for that this is perfect.

Good little printer. Replacing an older Dymo printer that started having 'low battery' issues after approx 7 years. Points that help me decide: - rechargeable battery which is included (unlike the 'B' branded printers) - handheld use or connected to PC. Dymo connect not the best but usable. - uses my previous D1 tapes (see note below). Some reviews mention this printer is not compatible with older D1 tapes - I have not had this issue and am happily using D1 tapes purchased 3-4 years ago. Note - I only have genuine tapes as the the compatible ones are hit and miss and I'm a sucker for consistency.

Was working perfectly fine and easy to setup But after a year or so the paper is not coming out anymore...you have to "help it" while it is printing....you are loosing lose of paper then This is not reliable for this price - we bought it as it was suppose to last and better to have a charger than battery but we don't recommend it

I just love it. It is straight forward to operate as an independent device. I have not connected it to a PC so I cannot comment on that. The dual UK and EU plugs in the package come handy when needed. It has worked wonders in helping me get organized. Even if it is not marketed as such, you can even use the durable labels in naming your cables on your switch/patch panel or under your desk/workstation.

I love this label maker. I know there are more inexpensive options from the same brand but this one gets it all done! Love the quality of the sticker, the print, and the options for fonts and symbols. 5 over 5

I love this product, it is absolutely brilliant to keep every cupboard properly labelled and tidy. Live that you can buy different colours for your labels and customise the your font size as well as the direction of your text.

Delighted with this. Expensive, but seems durable and should last a long time. Being able to use it with a PC/Mac adds more functionality, as the ability to print images too.

Dobra drukarka. Proste drukowanie. Jedynie co bym zmienił to oprogramowanie na komputer.

L’appareil fonctionne bien et répond aux attentes. À voir sur le long terme pour la durabilité, mais pour l’instant je suis satisfait de mon achat et le résultat est tout à fait satisfaisant.
