I have been using journals from Peter Pauper Press since 2010, and they have always been excellent. This journal is no different. The front and back covers are very sturdy, even after two years of daily use. The paper is thick and smooth, and ruled with light gray ink. I have yet to find a pen that doesn’t glide across it. The design on the cover is gorgeous, and is so much more detailed in real life than in the photo. There are only two things that I would change about these journals, and neither of them is worth removing a star: It would be nice if the journals would lay flat, and I really, really wish they would attach pen holders to all of their journals. I have an autoimmune disease and have to take medications several times a day, and I use these to keep track of what I take and when. A pen holder would make my life so much easier! I buy these every couple of years as a gift to myself, to make taking my medications seem just a little bit nicer. Whatever you’re using it for, I have no doubt that this journal will meet your needs. And, by the way, this is a real review, by a real person, who is honestly impressed by this journal, and paid for it out of her own pocket. No bull here!

the journal cover is so beautiful, amazing quality for the price. sturdy hard cover that is heavyweight and keeps the book closed. this is good because its not a journal with an elastic band closure. its a perfect journal size, not too wide. the cover design is really well printed (on both sides) with gold embossed texture on the line work. lovely long satin bookmark that is attached well. the paper quality is lovely for regular and even hobbyist use. I use it with my pilot kakuno fountain pen and it takes it really well. minimal ink ghosting on the other side and no bleeding at all. as you can see no feathering either. the lines are well spaced, not too close together (22 lines per page) and are a faded grey. love the book its beautiful and functional

This is the prettiest journal. I used it as a graduation journal and I absolutely love the way it came out. I decorated it with a bunch of cute stickers and had all my friends sign it for my college graduation. Every time I handed it to one of my friends they complimented how absolutely adorable the journal was. The little gold accents even without the flash on are so beautiful. I only used about half of the book It’s pretty thick for something like this since I like to keep my circle small, but it definitely served its purpose for the occasion. I would most definitely buy this book again for some other occasion or just journaling in general!
