I bought this for a 80-year-old table lamp whose shade made it through WWII. If you're smart, you'll buy this because it adjusts. The one I took out was 8", but with the new shade, it wouldn't fit. This thing was great. Adjusted easily and fit the new shade like a champ...EXTREMELY pleased with this purchase.

I moved to another state and apparently the movers decided to pack my lamps without their parts! These worked great to put on my lamps in my living room. I like how they are adjustable too so they can be used on different lamps. I only gave this 4 stars because the top is a little loose and my lamp shades spin somewhat if I move them but still worth the money.

This works just perfectly- it is well made and easy to adjust to needed height. I had no problem installing it, and I'm not a "handy" person.

If you have a lamp that you need the shade to be at a height that you can't exactly determine, this works perfectly. (In our case, an angled ceiling in a converted attic made it a tough measurement.) We were able to use this adjustable harp to get the shade to be right where we needed it. Definitely recommend!

This is a work around for a pottery barn floor lamp i purchased years ago. The shade dissolved and is impossible to replace since it is bespoke for the lamp model. This harp appeared to be flexible enough to fit my harp-less lamp to adapt it to use a ‘normal’ replacement shade. For the price it does the job but i would have been happier and have paid more for a few options: 1) my lamp is antique brass so i figure that i will be able to hide the chrome harp behind the new shade - i would have preferred to have a finish choice and needed to find another finial that was the right finish 2) the harp, once installed, seats but the extended harp moves back and forth once the shade is screwed on 3) it comes with two adapters, a plus, but the adapter i need to use for a harp-less lamp is tough to install, i had to disassemble the lamp to jigger the plastic lamp collar to fit around the harp adapter. This adapter works and is worth the cheap price, but unfortunately it looks cheap... for now i figure it holds a shade in place and i will keep looking for a better quality product.

This worked well to allow retrofitting a modern fabric lampshade onto an antique Danish globe lamp. This old lamp originally had a special lampshade having a large ring about halfway down inside it that was clamped between two threaded rings on the outside of the bulb socket barrel. An unusual arrangement, for sure. The old shade was dark and yellow-orange, tainting the light from a new 5000K daylight LED bulb. This new telescoping harp assembly includes a large ring-type harp holder that looked like a perfect match. The inside diameter of the ring was too small, but after 10 minutes of grinding with a Dremel tool, I had a good fit. I was able to adjust the height of the shade for best aesthetic appearance. Here are some pics. We are delighted with the look of the lamp and the ability to use modern, top-mounting shades.

I was so happy when I came across this Uno adapter, but quickly found out that it would not fit my 15 year old Ikea lamp. Unfortunately, I then found articles online, with others commenting that they had similar problems with finding the right adapters for Ikea lamps. I plan to go to Ikea to see if I can find a new lamp shade I like better than my old one that will actually fit.I received the item quickly, and would have kept it if it had fit. I appreciate that it was adjustable and very easy to use. I would recommend this item and the seller.
