Black+Blum Charcoal Water Filter Hydration with Locking Coil, Old Japanese Tradition, Lasts 6 Months, Natural Wood

I dislike having to buy bottled water and thought I'd try this charcoal stick instead of yet another Britta filter that will just end up in landfill after a month since no one recycles them. After a couple of hours, my tapwater doesn't taste like chlorine or metal anymore, and if I leave it in for four or more hours it tastes really good. As far as I can tell, it's not filtering out any microorganisms or anything like that, so I wouldn't use it on iffy water, but for regular tapwater it works well.

This item is a good and quality charcoal. I use it on my fridge, on the water deposit, so it's filters the water and it is always colder. Is durabled for 6 months.

So I have this in the blum bottle and wondered about using it in my normal water bottle for work. This is something I didn't know existed but now I do, swear by it. Water tasted better after the 8 hours.as recommended.

It works great. Bottle or pan of any side, water in, stick in, wait overnight, and this awful chlorinated Thames water is a decent drinking water. Last endless

Its easy to install. Cheaper then these awful Br…a filters and it gives me somewhat a feeling of yes I’m doing all I can with limited resources to keep us a bit more healthy. I would love to have a very good built in filter on my tap water system but its financially not possible at the moment and perhaps not worth it looking forward. Living in South East London here where the water is HARD. And I mean DIRTY HARD. I’m from the continent and am really not used to this at all. Every pan I cook with has to be boiled with citric acid to get rid of hard water residues. Unbelievable. Its for me a reason to actually leave this country. Amongst a lot of other things. We pay a lot for everything in this country but we get nothing slightly ‘pleasant’ back, but good enough to work constant overtime in the hospital because staff has had enough of being used and are leaving. Not looking after your staff does just that. Listen to me venting out here on Amazon. 🤣🤣☺️ Thank you for this. It sorts this out (somewhat) for the time being. 👍🏼

I have three of these charcoal things in old passata bottles. Completely removes any taste in the water. Tried filter jugs and also using vitamin c to remove chlorine and a woody taste in the tap water….charcoal is vastly superior for this.

Assolutamente lo consiglio

Una alternativa valida a la jarra de plástico. Se puede usar en cualquier jarra de vidrio. Yo relleno la mía por la noche y el dia después el agua está lista. Mi agua sabe muchísimo a cloro y el filtro de carbón lo absorbe todo. Resulta una agua que se puede beber, sin necesidad de comprar agua en botellas de plástico, o jarras de plástico con sus relativos filtros desechables. Estos filtro de carbón tendrían si que costar meno para el echo que son sustenible en el ecosistema.

Nos ha gustado mucho. Es cierto que el agua del grifo no estaba mala, pero así ahorramos el comprar agua embotellada para mí hija. Está buena el agua y es muy práctico. Nos ha sorprendido

Ich habe mir den Wasserfilter gekauft, da die Leitungen in meiner Mietwohnung schon sehr alt sind. Das Wasser schmeckte immer etwas metallisch. Jetzt ist das wenn man 2-4 Stunden wartet hat man ein sehr angenehm weiches und neutrales Wasser, wenn man es über Nacht in einer Karaffe lässt, schmeckt es morgens sogar noch irgendwie erfrischend und etwas mineralisch, also sehr angenehm. Mir gefällt hier, dass ich den Filter auch auf Reisen mitnehmen kann, passte so auch in meine 500ml Trinkflasche. Klappert nicht, fällt nicht aus einer Flasche heraus, einfach super. Lediglich den Preis der Nachfüllpackungen der Aktivkohle finde ich in Anbetracht, das es ja eigentlich nur ein Stück Kohle ist etwas hoch, aber das ist ja bei allen Wasserfiltern der Fall, daher hoffe ich jetzt dass er auch seine 6 Monate hält.
