TAJIMA Utility Knife - VR-Series Box Cutter with Fixed Blade & 3 V-REX Blades - VR-101R

The phrase "fit and finish" comes to mind when you first hold the Tajima VR-101. Turn knob is easy to operate with a hard stop to avoid over tightening. Tolerances are noticeably tighter than most other utility knives. It is slightly heavier than other utility knives, but a none issue due to it's size. Quality is abundantly evident. This is my new favorite fixed blade utility knife. I highly recommend this item. The only con I have noticed is that the knob turns easily and manages to undo itself. I turn it closed and continue.

Blade slips out all the time

The quality is really high and I like the weight to it. But. After two weeks of use the screw stripped out and the blade storage is trash. Think it's a case of trying to reinvent the wheel. I'd recommend for a knife that you might use every once in a while but not for commercial daily use

I bought this because you don’t need anything but your hand to change the blades out. I do a lot of drywall and this knife is top of the line

Junk. Loosened within a day and basically fell apart. This was a real let down. Do not buy this.

All aluminum knife! Nice and lite, easy blade changes... However, personally I'm very disappointed with this product. Steel razor blades will cut through the blade holder and housing fast, then the blade flops around. Also the two halves are pretty lightduty, they will bend under pressure, and the blade does not stay secure. I've been using it for a month. It's pretty nice looking when you get it, but worthless for contractors. I bought this Tajima to replace my 15 year old Lennox fixed blade that finally broke at the because the reviews I read said the newer version of the Lennox was not nearly as good as they were previously. I can verify that the newer "cheap" version of the Lennox is still better than this.

Just what I was excately looking for!

never owned such an expensive low quality product, the finger tightener wouldnt get tight enough to keep the blade in place and it came loose. Used it once and then the second time i tried to gently tighten the knob with my pliers and it broke. JUNK

Extreme solid knife, love the weight it has and how solid feels, Update: after a few days of use, the knife falls off a shed and the mechanism for opening/closing the knife is completely busted and no longer works.
