Great mic for the old price.
Great for the $119.00 I paid for it...now the price has doubled. I prefer my Sennheiser MK4 for this higher price, but the sound on the MXL is just about as good for YouTube, plus the MXL looks like a broadcast mic if that is important to you. I also like the end fire as you can get the mic lower to a desk for video screen head shots. The packaging is the best. You will probably need a wind screen or pop filter or place the mic off axis, for the pops. Also you'll need phantom power for this condenser mic. I go into a Dbx 286, into an Aphex oral exciter, into a Yamaha board, into a MAC Mini line level in.
