I went into this game underestimating how fun it is. I was hesitant to find a kart racing game to replace my classic Crash Team Racing PS1 game, and somewhat reluctantly bought this after reading great reviews. After playing for several weeks, I can say this game almost perfectly compliments my game collection. The graphics are amazing! The races are fun and complicated (hidden short cuts). The gameplay is complex enough to be a decent challenge (especially on the hard levels) but simple enough that anyone who has played CTR will pick up fairly quickly (my girlfriend who doesn't play video games at all picked up on the controls our second time playing). It has a somewhat unique (although not new) feature of switching to boat and airplane racing from time to time. I also really appreciate the ability to go through story mode with a buddy. It's the perfect story for a kart racing game: it has no story!!! That's how fun the racing is, you don't even care about any plot, you just want to continue unlocking courses with a friend. The only negative I can think of is the leveling up of characters: when I race against friends, I want to play them with us being equals, skills against skills, not level 10 character vs. level 1. Nonetheless, if you can race characters of similar skill levels, it won't be a problem. Bottom line: If you're looking for a more modern racing game with excellent graphics, gameplay, and multiplayer opportunities, get this. One of the few kart racing games offered for the PS3!

Compré el juego para mi hijo y le encantó. Funciona perfectamente en la consola XBOX 360,el envío fue muy rápido. Es un juego muy divertido y entretenido. Muy recomendable para toda la familia, pueden jugar hasta 4 personas a la vez.

I bought this as I love Mario Kart but couldn’t get that for the PS3. So thought I’d try this and I wasn’t disappointed! I didn’t expect graphics this good and the gameplay is great also. Now I love it as much as Mario!

I wanted something akin to Mario Kart to play on My Xbox One X, so I ordered this hoping it would at least be a playable clone. In my opinion, it actually competes fairly well with the 'Kart franchise, and is a blast to play. It heavily borrows some elements, while introducing enough new concepts to (almost) have its own identity. While you can tell it's an Xbox 360 game, the graphics hold up well and the performance and load times are fine. Getting multiple accounts signed in is a little bit of a hassle, as is figuring out how to change settings for that player (must be in a race), but it's not too bad with a quick Google search. I don't feel like it benefits much from the extra horsepower, but overall it's a good experience... I had one lock up in 10 or so hours of playing, otherwise it's been rock solid. There's plenty of content and play modes, lots to unlock, and it's very accessible. On the easy difficulty you can get by with limited racing/kart experience and without having to drift or aim that well, and at higher difficulty you can showcase your skills (or get punished for drifting off course hehe). The characters have a progression element although it's not hard to level them up, and once you have you can prioritize speed, handling, acceleration, etc. It's not overly deep, but adds a nice element of customization if your favorite character is too slow by default. I've mostly been playing split screen, haven't tried 4 player yet, but 2 works just fine. The different vehicle modes add a bit of challenge, more so to newer players, but it's not too hard to get the controls down and get caught up fairly quickly.

When Sonic and Sega All Stars racing came out I actually casually enjoyed that game it wasn't perfect but it was good. Fast Forward 2-3 years later and the sequel sonic and all stars racing transformed comes out and made the original obsolete and even in my opinion better then Mario Kart 7 on the 3ds (still a great game though). The Characters in the game are a good mix everything from the standard sonic, tails, eggman to other people from sega such as B.D joe (crazy taxi) to Joe Mussashi (shinobi). The Tracks is what really makes this game stand out from other kart racers most of the tracks change from lap to lap and are designed very well plus there are 4 tracks from the previous game return also which is a nice bonus and a download voucher for a outrun bay track if I assume you buy the game new. I can't really compare this game to any other versions such as ps3, wii u, etc cause this is the only version I played but I assume the graphics have been downscaled some but probably not much because the game looks really nice the graphics are great. It did at first before I updated it seem to have frame rate issues but I can't notice anymore. The transform aspect of this game is very well done and makes the game feel like a cross between the original, diddy kong racing, and a little bit of wave race mixed in at the water parts. Really my only problem with this game is the powerups minus a few are kinda meh. Anyway this is a great game to play on the road or at home and if your a sonic or kart racer fan pick this game up. pros: really fun game to play on a portable device great characters, controls graphics are good lots of gameplay time for a kart racer cons: slight frame rate issue but I believe it was fixed or seems like it powerups aren't very good
