evrything worked just as advertized
Liked all features it has, price is super, came fast before schedule time.Works well and easy to use, Like the temperature reading along with depth reading. It was fun to use, lake had lots of fish only one problem the fish were not biting, used everything in my arsenal, caught 2. The entire lake was very slow but we hd fun trying, we knew there were fish in the water so it made a difference on how long we stayed, both of us caught 2 each. other wise we would of got zero we would have left early. for the price can't beat it.

Great little tool
I really liked this fish finder. it works well and i would recommend it to others that do kayak fishing. I attached the sensor to a line and a spring clip and just drop it in the water. the unit i placed in a car phone holder attached to my kayak which holds the hand held screen unit. works great. the only downside that i have found is the battery life on the hand held unit. it takes 4 AAA batteries and they do get used up fairly quickly. i just carry a new set with me and all is well. I really love this little unit.

Must have for shore fishermen.
Works great, see structure from shore so you know where to cast.

This thing is pretty bad ass!
So after getting it, I took it to our neighborhood pond for some testing. I thought this would be a perfect place to try it out since I am VERY familiar with this pond and the fish behaviour. Threw it out in one of my normal trout spots and waited for about 10 minutes....no fish showing up. So I took it over to the main pond where most of the fish cruise through. It was amazing! From the fish showing up on the screen I could identify if they were sunfish, trout or bass. It showed one big bass sitting in about 5' of water. Figured I would see how accurate this is. Wacky rigged a senko, and second cast, pulled up a 3lb largie. The size indicator was spot on. I mainly plan on using this for ice fishing, but could see how it would be great on my kayak or from shore. I was going to buy an $800 vexilar, glad I tried this first!

Ok, but not great
The concept and price point are cool, but sadly, it’s not terribly accurate. I was in a spot on a local lake where everyone knows the depth is 56 feet and it was showing 72 feet. It shows fish but any day I used this, I didn’t catch a single one (and usually I’ll catch a few) so I can’t vouch for the accuracy of that part. The least likable part of it is when you’re over a structure, like a tree or stump, and it only shows the depth suddenly get a lot shallower; it doesn’t show the structure, so you have to guess what and where it is. It’s fun to use and it helps a little but you get what you pay for.

don't use out in the rain
First time I got caught out in the rain and the finder got reasonably wet it stopped working. Let it dry for an extended period. Still not working.

great addition to the tackle box.
I finally got to take this out yesterday and use it... tons of fun and nice to be able to use it to learn new fishing areas. Used it for 6 hours straight ended up using anout half each battery. Had it on a extra heavy action pole with 50lb line and I could toss it out in the pond I was fishing as far as I wanted to and not worry about single or anything... very nice addition to my small boat and bank fishing both
