worked for first time spraying weeds from pump sprayer
I got this to do spraying weeds for the first time from concentrate. The dye worked okay, though it wasn't as even/thick as I thought it would be once on the lawn so I still had to somewhat look carefully to see if I'd already sprayed an area. I'll need to play with the nozzle more to see it is an issue with the nozzle since I had a cone and not a fan pattern. That said, it's still 100% better than not having the spray if you're not going in an even walking pattern. Worked well enough for a first time sprayer and for the price I'd recommend it to other folks. As a tip, I used a syringe with 1 oz marks to put the dye in the tank, and made sure to rinse hands / surfaces when I got some on me, which minimized the temporary staining. I also wore disposable gloves, though I took them off too soon and got some dye on my hands while cleaning the tank, so be careful. Stains for a day or two so not a big deal.

Works, but takes more than instructed
If you go by the label, it's very difficult to see the spray pattern, and likely you will get it on your hands or clothing, so just pour in a bit until you get your desired visibility. As others have suggested, starting with a gallon of water is the best way to determine how much works best for you. Now, the product itself is quite visible, making seeing where you've sprayed quite easy, and the color fades after 3-4 days in the sun. Do wear gloves when using this product, as you will look like you've robbed a bank for several days if it does get on your hands, which is quite a possibility if you use a pump sprayer.Overall it's an inexpensive product which could pay for itself in saved product, if what you're spraying is expensive, and time.

With proper dosage it works great.
I used the product according to the directions by taking a dropper and calculating how many drops to give me 0.1 oz per gallon. It was about 30 drops or so. I applied to my lawn and I could see it was spraying blue, but it was not a strong indication on the grass. I then tried about 50 drops per my gallon and it made a huge difference. As soon as I sprayed on the lawn it was visible. Did not stay blue on the lawn for more than a couple of days and even right after I sprayed it wasn't an eye sore.Overall, pleased although the 0.1 oz per gallon is a little light for me. Better to start with less and add more I suppose.

Super concentrated Blue
WOW! This works wonderfully but measuring is a challenge to not get everything blue. It is difficult to pour a very small amount - 0.1 oz. per gallon - out of the container. So to make it easier for all of us... 0.1oz = approx. 3mL or a little more than a half of a teaspoon of product in a gallon of water. Amazing, and what is more amazing is that I used 1/3 of that amount and it was sufficient on random weed spraying to keep me from over-spraying or spraying twice. The blue will run toward the downward part of the leaf but it is visible enough to let me know that it was sprayed. Of course this all depends on your ability to see the blue. Poor vision, bright sunlight, spraying on grass might require that you use the full amount indicated but for me and my job, I am OK with using less to get the job done. Since it is difficult to pour without making a mess, I would suggest getting a syringe to draw the product out the the bottle. An eye dropper would even work as they usually draw about 1 mL of fluid. I am impressed with the product and would highly recommend.

Works well
Works as advertised, with the blue dye I can clearly see where I sprayed herbicide and where I did not. As a result I'm using less herbicide because I'm not spraying areas twice and I know when I've fully coated a plant. The dye is very concentrated so it seems like the small bottle will last a long time (though I doubt I'll really get 80 gallons out of it as they say). My only complaint is that the small bottle is difficult to open and difficult to pour, which pretty much guarantees I'm going to get dye all over my hands and make a mess every time I use it. I suppose I could wear gloves but who has time for that? I'd gladly pay an extra dollar or two for an easy to pour no mess bottle! At least it washes off my hands in a couple of days. It also fades away outside after a few days and hasn't stained any of my hardscapes that got hit with over spray.

Just like the Pros
This stuff is awesome, but one thing. It creates a bit of bubbles like dish soap . So here is the deal, fill sprayer with chemical and water and then add the spray indicator in. If you add it to begin with you can’t get the pump back in without blue bubbles running all over the outside of the bottle, along with chemicals. Spray off the bottle completely with the hose or you will have this stuff all over your hands and clothes and feet. Now for the great part. You can definitely see where you have sprayed. Increase efficiency, stop you from spraying same things over and over.

Your hands are gonna get messy, wear latex gloves
The product works, but is messy to dispense. It has low surface tension and flows everywhere it touches. May be what it has to do to work on grass.
