THEY FIT MY BIG CLOWN FEET!!!
I was shocked and amazed! Here is my deal. I am a female with huge clown feet. Size 11 EEE, with both a high arch AND instep..under normal circumstances. These days, my neuropathy and venous insufficiency have conspired to cause me to retain water and they have swollen to alien proportions now, and are very tender. I got the extra wide, extra deep slippers to accommodate them. Wonder of wonders, they are actually a bit too large, length-wise, but to have room to fasten them, I can use the extra room. Once the swelling is down, they will be wildly too large..but they were bought for me right now. There is an adjustment strap across the top which opens on both sides and a heel strap. For the first time since I can recall, walking was not painful. I wore them out to do errands and it had been raining and they did just fine. Hope this helps.

Worked great for my dad
I purchased these shoes for my 72 yo father just as he was about to undergo total knee replacement surgery with the idea that he would use these during his inpatient rehab stay. When I first ordered them, I was flying blind and going by other people's reviews.I ordered these shoes along with another well known brand's slip on shoe since that was a bit more aesthetically pleasing. In the end, I can't tell you how happy I am to have ordered the foamtreads shoes. Due to my dad's post operative pain and decreased mobility, these shoes - with their various velcro closures - have come in completely handy!Right from his first day of inpatient rehab as I assisted him put these shoes on, it was lovely not to have to "force" them on his feet...whereas the other "nicer looking" shoes would have required a shoehorn and way too much tugging.Even my dad's occupational therapist was impressed by these shoes and how easily they could be secured on ones feet and accomodate foot swelling and various thickness of socks.I will confess, I am rarely one to write reviews on this site (even though I use reviews to help make my own purchasing decisions), but I just had to write one about this product. I have not used these shoes personally and am only relating their use by my father for inpatient rehab. But if you are looking for a non slip, comfortable shoe that will fit someone who may have decreased mobility or swelling in their legs...I would give these a try.As for those other "nicer looking" shoes...I returned them.

Swollen Feet? No Problem. Choose Your Size Well Though.
I bought these shoes for my father; he's diabetic and a stroke victim with swollen feet and ankles. He uses a wheelchair almost exclusively. We've found these shoes to be comfortable, durable, and easy to put on.The shoe's tongue pulls back completely and it's simple to slip a swollen foot in. The shoe fits about as expected; slightly large. **Take Care**: Although you can adjust the shoe for swollen feet, the velcro straps don't tighten the shoe. They close the shoe. My father doesn't walk much or lift his foot up so no problem for him but if you're a walker, too big a slipper might be an issue. We use socks on days my father's feet are 'normal.'The slippers are durable, don't slide, and are easy to rinse clean. The arch support is minimal - I bought Dad some insoles - so don't take hiking. Their overall appearance is one of quality and based on our experience, they'll last and look good for several years.I highly recommend them in every respect - except for extensive walking use - but warn: the shoes really can not be tightened much, virtually not at all. Choose your size well.

Great fitting, comfortable, firm shoe
This is the second pair I've purchased for my husband and they may eventually be too large but, for now, they accommodate swelling and lymphedema wraps. They are absolutely genius. The shoe can be opened all the way up, if necessary and then the velcro pulled tight over the instep and heel. We keep the heel secured and just do the instep and it is enough for him to have a shoe that perfectly fits his foot with ease and provides a firm, no-slip foundation he can walk in. He wears these to his doctors' appointments because they are the only shoes he can put on right now and they look more like a soft loafer than a bedroom slipper. He still looks neat and well dressed. I look forward to being able to buy a smaller size for him.

Velcro straps are not adequate enough to hold shoes together!
2/26/18 UpdateReturning shoes as Velcro is totally gone. Using duct tape over Velcro straps to hold shoes together!I found the Amazon community feedback spot onb, however based on my experience to date with this product I would not purchase again.Pros1. Good quality slipper2. Assuming you are able to stretch the velcro strap to buckle closed tightly, the shoe sole is heavy duty enough to walk outside on a limited basis.Cons1. The velcro straps on top of shoe are difficult to buckle and shoe is heavy enough to cause the shoe to unbuckle during normal use. There is a trick to using velcro buckle and if buckled tightly , it only comes undone 30 % of the time.

Fits Well in his Regular Size, Despite Differences in Swelling in Each Foot
My husband has leg lymphedema. Recently, the condition worsened, and the legs needed to be bandaged. He could not wear either his shoes or his slippers because of the increased swelling. I ordered the Foamtreads Physician's Slippers, and crossed my fingers. I chose his regular size, concerned about whether would not be too tight. Well, they weren't. There is enough "play" in the slipper that the adjustments were sufficient to accommodate both feet, one more swollen than the other. It is too early to comment on the shoes durability, but right now I am thankful that he could get his feet into a slipper.

Was a bit on the large size. Could have done with next size down. Lovely and comfortable for my diabetic husband.
