Dorman 741-578 Rear Driver Side Power Window Regulator And Motor Assembly Compatible with Select Cadillac / Chevrolet / GMC Models (OE FIX)

This item seems like a "winner." Been installed for a couple months. F.Y.I. - The disassembly of the door to get this item in (& the failed existing parts out) is NOT inconsequential. I'd recommend ordering the correct plastic whole-inner-door seal ($35-50) BEFORE you disassemble the inner door to replace the regulator. Expect the plastic seal to end up unusable. You don't want to wreck the plastic seal & have to temporarily assemble the door just to wait for the seal to arrive. The actual regulator portion of the repair is not bad. Easy to spot Dorman's OE Fixes. Nice to have someone THINKING about, then DOIN SOMETHING about these type of part improvements.

Put a 3 of Dorman window assy in and only had one that functions slowly-labors a bit unlike the other ones I installed on a crew cab Duramax- works great onMy Ford van (3/4 ton) also-will buy again hopefully not anytime soon….

I've had these replaced professionally and it always seemed like it was $1,000 every time. My Suburban is 19 years old and when my window motor stopped working it wasn't worth fixing, but I stumbled across this and although it was a little tricky, the You-Tube videos gave me the confidence that I could replace the bad part myself. I gave it five stars because it was SO much cheaper than going to a mechanic.
