Very sturdy, great quality
Heavy duty! I was nicely surprised. Works great with 9L cast iron pot plus when you add liquid/food makes the log even heavier but the tripod didn’t even budge. Happy I got it, super easy to set up, fit above the pit or as seen on the photo just anywhere

Heavy duty, sturdy, hopefully will not chip and rust
Nice heavy duty tripod. I was kind of hoping for something more like powder coat something less likely to Chip and then allow rust but we'll see how well this does over the years I tend to keep it outside over our fire pit all year long.

Worked well during its maiden winter camping use!
Went winter camping in January on the east slope of the Cascades, and tried out the tripod over a wood fire. I hung a trivet from the tripod, and put a teapot on it. The water boiled very quickly. Later I cooked some bratwurst on the hanging grill. All worked fine! The tripod can be adjusted for any width or ground unevenness by pulling in or stretching out one of the tripod legs, providing a level cooking (or boiling) platform. The tripod stows away in a nice nylon bag when you are finished, so that the soot that might have accumulated on the tripod legs doesn't dirty up your car on the drive home. All in all, it worked great, was reasonably priced, and showed no sign of wear or deformation or whatever.
