are the clay beads tested for lead??

No, those are actually the box dimensions. The wrap is 14 inches wide at the neck (the widest point) and the "arms" are 14.5 inches long. The back of the neck width is 7 inches.

Are the beads stitched into segments so they don't clump up?

Not exactly. There are channels sewn into the inner cover that hold the beads in the upper areas around the neck. We recommend that you look at how these channels are made before using. Then after heating the wrap, hold it up by the elongated ends to move all the beads to the neck and shoulder area. Place in on your neck and shoulders and some of the beads will fall down into the "arms" to hold it securely in place. Then you can shift the beads some to get more contact with the desired spots.
