No it can’t print on both sides

I need this for printing plates for a printing press. Will this printer work for that?

I got the printer at a garage sale for an amazingly low price and have never regretted it - the printer keeps working and produces excellent output. As for making plates for a printing press, it depends on which press and what it requires as a master document. I understand the "standard" dpi for printing presses used to be 1200 dpi - I haven't any more recent info on that. If your press takes ordinary bond and output from a laser printer, it might work, but I suggest you review both the input needs for your press and the output options for the printer, which Hp would have on its web pages, or someone on the Internet may have posted specs for the Hp 1020. Since I don't do printing press operations, that is about all I can say. I hope this helps.
