Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

I'd heard so much hype about this Paula's Choice BHA exfoliant, and I was skeptical. But after just a few weeks of consistent use, I'm a total convert. The 2% salicylic acid is the star ingredient, and it works miracles on blackheads, clogged pores, and rough texture. My nose and chin have never looked so clear – those stubborn blackheads have noticeably diminished, and my pores look refined and less visible. What I love most is the liquid texture. It's water-light and absorbs quickly, so it doesn't feel heavy or greasy. Got this product to see if it would help with open pores. I noticed a difference within one week of using this my pores are less noticeable and my skin appears smoother. I drop a few drops on my face and use my hands to rub it in. This is a small bottle but for me will last about 4 months. Will buy again.

I have post-menopausal skin, which, disappointingly, is still prone to breakouts, although not often. It prompted me to search out something that could help improve my skin’s texture, as well as deal with age-related hyperpigmentation and the occasional breakouts – a few big asks. I came across two Paula’s Choice products (the skin perfecting 2% liquid exfoliant, and the 10% azelaic acid booster) which had good reviews – I read many – and plenty of before/after evidence. I know you generally need to use products regularly before you can expect to see a visible difference but I’m already seeing a result after only a few days. You use both products on cleansed skin (I’ve been using Eucerin’s dermo-purifier oil control triple effect cleansing gel, which contains salicylic acid, it’s available from Boots). Consistency is key here and I’ve been using these two products morning and night. My skin is a lot smoother and is already visibly clearer, with the latest breakout is fading. I’m excited about how it will improve my skin longer term when used regularly. As I get older, I realise I’m going to have to take better care of my skin, and in a different way to when I was in my 20s. You can feel your skin tingling when the booster serum is applied, so if you have sensitive skin, maybe use less and be cautious until you see how it affects you personally. I’m really glad I found these products and will definitely continue to use them. Four stars only because it will prove quite expensive to use them all the time.

Had a breakout in what i think were hormonal cystic spots on cheeks and nose area and needed to find a solution Pic 1 - 3-4 weeks ago after using the below methods Pic 2 - straight after applying this and cream moisturiser Pic 3 - this morning So firstly i use a combination of products and do not use this product more than on weekends I have oily skin so products which dry my skin are more preference so this may not work for other skin types. First 1-2 weeks spots got slightly worse before improvement. Morning routine 1. Cleanser - arencia green rice mochi 2. Cereve - blemish control gel 3. The ordinary niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% 4. The ordinary natural moisturiser + Ha Night routine 1. Cleanser - arencia green rice mochi 2. The ordinary salicylic acid 2% 3. Murad - deep relief blemish treatment 4. The ordinary natural moisturiser + Ha Weekends i swap out one morning or evening routine to use this product 1. Now i know salt is not great but my spots seem to be more under the skin so i raise them up using a handful of westlab epsom salts on a cloth and scrub direct on face (other method is add a cup to a bath) - whilst research says there is no medical info for epsom salts helping cystic spots on face - epsom salts are actually found as a medical recommendation for trying to get rid of gynocological cysts etc This is drying so it is likely not recommended if dry skin and i do not do more than once a week and i expect spots to look worse when they are bought to surface 2. Anua rice enzyme brightening cleansing powder - i build up like a mask then add water to scrub in and wash off with a cloth (this product can be a bit messy) 3. Paulas choice 2% bha liquid exfoliant 4. The ordinary natural moisturiser + Ha Now as i only add this into the routine twice a week i am not worried by bottle size - will likely last me another 2-3 months on the smaller one - same with the murad small bottle for price The ordinary serums and lotions are significantly cheaper and will last for another 2-3 months at least too I do not know which products are helping the most for skin but this one is definately one i will keep in my routine for weekends and see it still value for money if used with some other products.

I bought this to try - I usually buy more expensive brands so was very surprised I actually felt a difference with this like it cleaned/toned deeper and closed my pores making my face feel like it had had an actual treatment. I then bought the bigger size so I didn’t run out.

broke me out for like over a week on my forehead and i’ve had clear skin all my life mind you but on nose it helps a little

Amazing product, could see results after two uses. I have used other products to help with closed comedones and this is the only product that has helped. 100% recommend, only critique is that it’s quite costly for the size of bottle.

Llevo un tiempo probándolo y los resultados en la cara se notan de verdad. Me ha ayudado muchísimo a reducir imperfecciones y deja la piel visiblemente más suave y con mejor textura. Un truco que recomiendo es aplicarlo directamente con las manos en lugar de usar discos de algodón, ya que así no se desperdicia nada de producto. A mi piel le va fenomenal, no me genera irritaciones y absorbe muy bien. El tamaño de 30 ml me parece muy acertado relación calidad-precio para ver si te funciona antes de dar el salto al formato grande.

Franchement, c’est l’un des rares produits que je rachèterais sans hésiter, je le mettrais même dans mon top 1. Il lisse vraiment la peau, faire disparaitre les petits boutons sous la peau et diminue les points noirs. J’ai la peau mixte à grasse mais assez sensible et je l’utilise 2 à 3 fois par semaine. Pour les peaux fragiles, je pense qu’une fois par semaine au début devrait être largement suffisant, en testant d’abord sur une petite zone. Par contre il faut être patient, j’ai commencé à voir des résultats au bout d’environ 2 semaines et attention aux contrefaçons. Le vrai produit est liquide oui mais pas comme de l’eau non plus, il tient quand même sur le visage. J’ai déjà vu des faux beaucoup trop liquides et sans odeur. En tout cas, c’est clairement un produit que je continuerai d’acheter !!
