Adult vest will not fit an average person. This vest is appropriate for teens. Choose the oversized version if you are 5'7" or larger, weigh over 160 lbs and have a chest size larger than 46 inches

I mean, it floats. Snaps are sturdy. Looks like it will last awhile.

'one size fits all'? no. Maybe if you are very thin. Not if you are most of the rest of the world. They are not big enough for a large child. The oversize would probably have fit a regular adult. Well made though, so if you are looking for a smaller sized life jacket they are light and felt fairly durable.
