100% recommend!
You can't go wrong with these. Some of you, like I was, are probably turned onto this wine bottle tiki torch idea from Pinterest. I priced the pieces required to build my own kit from my local hardware store. It really ended up being a better choice to buy this kit already made. I probably would have saved a couple of bucks going to the store and building the kit on my own but time is money and I saved a whole lot by just buying this product.I had my doubts on whether or not it would be good quality, it definitely is. I was scared that the wicks wouldn't reach the bottom of the wine bottle, not the case here. These wicks are longer than the Tiki brand you'd find in the store. My only complaint, and it's not a product fault, are that the screws aren't long enough for some wine bottles. I bought four kits and I ended up having to use 4 different red wine bottles. The 4th bottle was a little thicker in the neck and the screws provided just weren't long enough to support this particular wine bottle. I either had to swap to a different bottle (which I did) or go buy longer screws from the hardware store. Not a big deal here but I would recommend that the company perhaps throw in a couple of longer screws to swap to if the customer ends up using a thicker bottle. The kit was great, it's attached to wooden lamp posts in my backyard and I have no doubts that they'll last for many years out there.

Attractive glasses, hold a full 8 oz.
Double walled glasses do require special handling to avoid breakage. I had a couple Bodum glasses which seemed thicker and more durable, and, ahem, my mother eventually broke them anyway. The only way I'd stir something in a double walled glass is *gently and with a plastic spoon*. I rarely use my dishwasher but hand washing with a soft sponge brush such as this is essential -Durable Sponge Cleaning Brush Cup Bottle Bottom Scrubber Kitchen Cleaner Tool for Tea Glass Chinaware Porcelain Coffee Stains 3 PcsI think the reason some people complain about "explosive" breakage with some brands is because of the partial vacuum they have. It tremendously improves the insulative properties, but the pop of air rushing *inward* startles people when they break, and I suspect the vacuum actually makes the glassware *more* fragile. These glasses don't seem to have much pressure differential, but they definitely have a hard seal, as opposed to a silicone plug. They don't really keep drinks hot or cold like a thermos would (the large open surface area relative to the rest of the glass is a factor), but they also don't sweat or get too hot to handle.Happily there are no big ugly logos plastered across these glasses as some have. I think the main reason I like them is that coasters aren't needed to prevent marring your wooden furniture, and they do keep my morning coffee warmer for the 45 minutes or so it takes me to drink it.

Worked great as soap mold, use very thin soap batter to get design
I really like the way this mold turned out. I used it for cold process (cp) soap. My first impression of the mold was that the sides seemed thin and maybe flimsy. But there were no issues with the structural integrity when I poured my batter in. The only problem I had was that my soap batter was a little thick (I had some issues and had to let it sit for a few minutes in the bowl before pouring and it thickened) and this caused some bubbles and you'll notice in the picture where the batter didn't quite fill in the pattern.I think if you made sure it was light to less than light trace, it would work best. Also, after I cured it for three days, I froze it overnight before unfolding it.

Awesome for Frozen Birthday!
Love this. I wanted to make snowflakes to decorate my daughters birthday cake and cupcakes. These were perfect. I bought a few bag of candy melts to melt and pour in them. Popped them in the freezer for 10-15 and they came out great. Ps only pour a little in to cover the bottom bc these are deep cups!! I made the first batch way to thick and re did them.Disclaimer: I did not receive any sort of discount for this review although i wish i had lol. But this product is definitely worth it!

Replace the screws that come with the kit.
Update... after contacting the company regarding the screws that came with the kit, they went above and beyond to make things right. With that kind of customer service, I have to update my review to 5 starts. The torches are a great addition to my backyard, and hopefully they'll start using better quality screws.I would give this product 4 and a half stars if I could but I can't give it 5 stars. I really do LOVE this kit, however, I suggest that when you receive it, you take one of the screws (that holds the bracket to your post) to the hardware store and replace them all with something of better quality. Even though I pre-drilled the holes, I stripped most of the screws without hardly trying. We ended up replacing them all just to be safe. Also, there are some bottles with slightly smaller openings (even though they are "standard") that we couldn't get the gasket to fit inside. That was a bummer, but I don't think that's an issue with this kit, just an issue with the bottles I tried using. So, replace the screws, pre-drill your holes (especially if you have pressure treated posts like we do), check that the gasket fits inside your bottle before you spend the effort of removing labels and such, and enjoy. They are a beautiful addition to our backyard!By the way, if you want to remove labels from bottles, soak them in a large bucket with water and a cup of ammonia. Let them sit for an hour or so (use gloves) and peel the labels off. You may need to scratch them off but this was the easiest method I found! They came off really easily :)
