Real Deal Marmalade
Great product. It made 8 jars of marmalade, 8 ounces each. I was a little concerned about other reviewers who said their can had arrived badly dented, but mine was not dented at all. I cut the sugar down to 3 pounds to make the marmalade a bit sharper. Will get this one again.

The bad news: First
I have been experimenting with canning and creating jams and jellies, so I thought I would try Marmalade. Needless to say my first batch that I tried to create from scratch was a COMPLETE disaster.Shopping at a local farmers market, I came across a young lady that was selling different jams, jellies and of course, marmalade. I told her of my experience with trying my own, and wasn't sure what I needed to do. She suggested finding citrus that was pre-prepped for making marmalade, and said she found hers on Amazon.I was a bit skeptic about this so I consulted a friend who cooks and bakes everything. She found Hartleys Ma Made Thin Cut Seville Oranges and sent me the link. I thought I should try it so I purchased 2 cans. The bad news: First, the cans were dented as other reviewers mentioned, but I was able to open them up. Second, the instructions are in metric measurements, so you should prepare ahead to know what you need (a "knob" of butter, as it turns out is a couple of teaspoons). Third, there are no directions for processing these, but again, you can find this information on line (water-bath canner: half-pints or pints, 5 minutes at 1000 ft).The good news: The ease of creating the marmalade with this product made me wonder why I wanted to go through the torture of trying it from scratch. I just completed my first batch (15 half-pints from 1 can) which I have displayed below. Notice how nicely the fruit disperses in the complete jarred product.I cannot give 5 stars because I have not tasted the finished and set product, however, I believe that the 4 stars will stand firm, until it is sampled.

Best marmalade ever!
Recipe calls for 4 lbs of sugar! Don’t put that much in. I used 2 lbs and it’s perfect. I lived in England for 8 years and loved marmalade with a bitter edge to it. This can of marmalade mix is perfect. Now I don’t have to pay big bucks for tiny jars of imported marmalade. Next time I will boil it a little longer, or maybe add some pectin for a slightly firmer finished product. I will certainly be making more!

Perfection in a can but the actual can is not perfect
I purchased and prepared a single can of MA MADE marmalade, using a full 4 pounds of sugar and adding too much water because I used the line on the back of the can, not the correct measurement line that's on the SIDE of the can. The can arrived in a very dented condition and I did not even see a line on the side until I was taking the can to the recycling bin. I could not understand why I had to cook it for so long and then why it ended up producing 10 pints of the final product. Be sure to look for the line on the side, not the back with the instructions and other information! The marmalade is tasty, bitter, sweet, fresh, luscious, and I will purchase another can. Even folks who did not like orange marmalade loved this, perhaps because my product is thinner in consistency, making it perfect for mixing in Greek yogurt. It thickens in the refrigerator. I used the water bath technique for just over 5 minutes to seal the jars and each was a success.

Again, delivered on time is the only good thing I can say about this
Once again the order arrived in a timely manner but when the package was opened the can, like the last one, was badly dented in several places and there was rust all around the top of the can. So much for second chances.
