But when your record is packed with this much veteran savvy and smooth flavor, the pride comes naturally. Snoop has been g-funky as hell for a long while, but "Crazy," with its hypnotic keyboard loop and silky flow, is impressive even for him. It's a trickle of light to counter the equally accomplished but darker "Vato," a fever-dream street duet with Cypress Hill's B Real. Traces of Doggystyle-era gangsta show up as well; the laconic flow of "Candy (Drippin' Like Water)" for instance, featuring E-40 and MC Eiht, is as instantly appealing as anything on that seminal debut. It must be said that whatever Snoop Dogg releases at this point in his career competes with his overwhelming celebrity and cartoonish, pimp-maestro image, and that makes it hard to take him seriously. But here, even a too-obvious, potentially disastrous song like "I Wanna F*** You" manages not to be ridiculous. Still Great Rappers Out There
There have not been too many rap albums that have come out over the past few years that I would bother to buy. A lot of newer rappers same to have no talent. They can't sing, the beat sounds like it was thrown together in a few minutes, and every song on the album sounds almost the same. Thank God that artists like Snoop Dogg still got it. This cd was well worth the money and personally my favorite album I've bought over the last few years. Its a must have for any Snoop fan, and even any rap music fan for that matter.

Like me, Calvin is on point again.
I dont listen to a lot of rap, so I may not be the best judge. But, this had trying to learn the lyrics. So much so, that I went online to learn them. You go to the head of the class with this one.

100% worth the price
Love this album would recommend it to anyone who listens to rap music all my albums were bought in Digital format because I didnt want the actual cd. Quick easy to download and I love this album.

Tha Blue Carpet Treatment parece la banda sonora G-funk de la cumbre de paz de la Costa Oeste de Snoop en 2005 y de todos los movimientos positivos que ha hecho en el barrio desde entonces, como aplastar todos los enfrentamientos de la Costa Oeste y lanzar un poco de amor a la comunidad hip-hop latina de Cali, a menudo ignorada, con su freestyle intencionadamente filtrado "My Peoples".
