Corsair TX550M Power Supply

The Corsair RM Line of PSUs are great. I personally own the 650 variant and could not be happier. Pros- - Very Silent Operation. I never hear the PSU and my case is on my desk, 1 1/2 Feet away from me. The fan Never turns on while on the desktop or using simple applications such as Youtube/steam/Skype Etc. Only when Im playing very demanding game does the Fan turn on. And even then, I cant hear it. - Modular. This is a given - Flat Black Individually sleeved Cables. The cables look so good if you have a case with good routing options. Cons- The flat black cables are a pain (In my opinion) to cable route. I suggest breaking any cable you use in first before using them. And by breaking in I mean bending back and forth the cable so its not so stiff

Spend the extra money for a good power supply and protect the rest of your investment.....it's as simple as that. The Corsair RM 650 watt was a little more than I needed at the moment but allows for additional upgrades in the future. The flat cables are a little bit of a pain trying to get them to bundle up and look nice but, in a mid-tower case they are long enough that I had plenty of room to get everything hooked up and looking nice. Unless I'm running something very intense and require a lot of CPU time the fan never comes on.......very quiet and energy efficient. Good service, good product............what else could you ask for?

The perfect combination of quality, affordability, and capacity. 80PLUS Gold-Certified totally modular. I used this for a computer build that typically draws 100-300 watts. This 650 watt supply never gets hot and the fan never comes on so it's always quiet. And I paid only $109 total. An unexpected surprise was it came with all flat power cables. That made cable routing much easier, especially in a tight HTPC(home theater personal computer) case. 10/27/2024 9 years later and it's still working fine.

Seems to work very well with my build, I4770k, GTX750TI, 2 SSD and 2 HDD, BluRay drive, Gigabyte Z87, Corsair 32gb Dominator Platinum 1866, Corsair H75 water cooler all in a Corsair 230t case. My idle temps are at 23c. I am not noticing the fan coming on for the power supply. Just a side note in order to use corsair link with the power supply you must buy the link kit. Took one star off on this power supply because I spent 4 to 6 hours trying to figure out why I could not get my main SSD recognized in Bios to install windows on it. I finally replaced the Sata cable with one I had from a previous build and it worked. So just know that there is a chance you might receive a bad cable.

I'm not a hardcore gamer with 4 way sli running games at 4k on 3 monitors. I'm a normal gamer, playing an hour or two a day on a standard 1080p lcd monitor with 1 video card and no overclocking. This has everything I could want. It is modular so no unnecessary cables, cables are nice and click in place. It has some weight which makes it look and feel sturdy. The silent mode is a nice feature, fan does not turn on until needed which is 90% of the time. Supposed to reduce noise but even with my computer on my desk (no case) I can't hear it when it starts. When it does start I'm playing some demanding game like Star Citizen and the noise coming from the cpu and gpu fan is so loud that the 120mm fan from the psu can't get trough anyway. As I said a nice feature but not a game changer. 650W more than enough for what I have. Nothing bad to say about this, price is good, quality is there, feature are there. -PS my computer: AMD FX-8350 cpu stock fan and clock GTX970 gpu (Gygabyte G1 Gaming edition) 1 hdd 1 ssd 8gb ram 1600MHz in 2 sticks

Very powerful and of course quite, I had a Corsair power supply before and I know this is great quality. Another thing I love about this one is that is modular so I only use the cables I need. Update: After 1 and a half years of having it, the PSU started to fail under heavy load, I contacted Corsair for support and they said that they will replace the item, I sent the defective PSU and I have been waiting for almost a month now and they are not sending me the replacement. I have contacted Costumer Service multiple times and they are not giving me a response not sending the replacement and not doing anything. I would not recommend to buy things from Corsair, not for their quality itself but for their terrible customer service.

Bought my first one on Amazon last last March. It unfortunately died this February (faulty piece in the PSU), but Corsair has an awesome warranty in place so I was able to get a replacement. Both my husband and I use this PSU and are very happy with it. Runs our gaming rigs like a breeze. It's a great bargain piece that, in my opinion, is well worth the money for high end, or regular PCs

Item arrived on time and appears to be well built. The 80 plus gold rating is impressive. You should test fit the cables to the power supply before installing it as the connectors are very tight and hard to install in a confined space. As with other Corsair products there is no manual other than what is printed on the box. This might cause some confusion for novice purchasers. I gave it 5 stars because it works, it fits and is exactly what the ad said it was. Many reviewers dock stars because the item does not have something they wanted or they don't like the color. I am only interested in the product being what was advertised and in the functionality.

Llevo con esta fuende de poder como un año y medio y no he tenido necesidad de darle ningún mantenimiento más allá de la limpieza normal, la cual ha sido una vez al año, dadas las condiciones en que la tengo trabajando. Es súper silenciosa, un detalle que se agradece muchísimo y realmente ofrece una potencia estable y confiable. El único detalle en contra es que si quieres monitorear su actividad con el software de Corsair, necesitas comprar un cable por separado dificilísimo de conseguir que conecta la fuente a la mother board a través de un puerto USB. Sin embargo tampoco es indispensable hacer eso, claro si no eres ultra detallista y perfeccionista. De lo contrario es una de esas fuentes tipo "conéctela y olvídese de ella" pues no te dará ninguna molestia.

Great supply and super quiet . It's been years and it still kick'n butt

Excelente producto. Llegó sin daño alguno, bien empaquetado por Corsair y por Amazon. Potencia de sobra para mi equipo y futuras expansiones como tarjetas de vídeo o discos duros. Los cables son fáciles de tratar y suficientemente largos, vienen cables para todo tipo de conexión excepto un Molex para conectar ventiladores
