I was attracted to this product because it plugs directly into the macbook without a cable. That way it's more convenient and it's especially useful when the macbook is docked so that peripherals can plug into the macbook instead of into a hub that's dangling from the macbook.

Is good, but have to remove a protective cover if installed to use.

Pretty decent. I bought this because my wireless mouse needed a usb connector thing from my macbook. It did not connect to my mouse after plugging it in.
