I'm sure my houseplants love me for how accurate this moisture meter is. Brown tips are a thing of the past with this guy. I really only use the moisture meter however because 1) the light meter I think is mostly for outdoor use. It either reads all the way to the right at the brightest reading if I put it in direct sunlight or doesn't read at all when I put it in any indirect light indoors. 2) I am not completely into Ph levels when it comes to my plant care routine. It's a reliable meter for beginners and can be useful when you begin to gain more experience in houseplant care.

Thank you so much for the earlyyyyy shipment. 1st time I m using this and it shows ph level is low. Repotted, trimmed and added vinegar and baking soda, now still showing little increase to 5. Hope it is giving perfect rating. For the soil moisture- it is showing nice rating. Now let’s see.

I'm a serial over waterer. Recently, a flip switched within me and I have fallen in love with house plants. I generally want to give too much care to my plants and end up killing them from over watering. Since receiving this wonderful contraption, I feel much more confident in my plant care taking abilities. The only thing I am not totally sure about on this meter is PH reading. One of my cats has taken to peeing on one of my plants for some unknown reason... she is absolutely insistent on it. Every time I have measured the soil, the reading has come back as completely alkaline. I would think cat pee is acidic, but who knows.

This is a good tester for mid season testing, but soil tests are recommended as well.

I only have one complaint: the probes bend very easily. Even when the souls is plenty moist they want to bend. Will be looking for something more durable eventually.

I think I have a dozen of these, one in each tomato plant, zucchini, squash, eggplant, peppers. I even use them to check my trees and shrubs that I've recently planted to make sure I'm not over or under watering. Takes the guess work out of caring for my plants.
