This exquisitely beautiful prayer book is clearly a labor of love. I have owned many Catholic prayer books over the years, both traditional and contemporary. While many have nice features, I am often disappointed that they contain prayers I already know well (I don't need the Our Father, Hail Mary, etc!), or else the prayers suffer for being in either archaic language that feels stilted, or in extremely contemporary new-agey or artificially inclusive language that feels awkward. Hence my constant search for the perfect prayer book.Well, I have found it! This exquisitely beautiful prayer book is clearly a labor of love. The authors/editors, a father and daughter duo, have obviously carefully collected, cultivated, and curated what is, for me, the ideal collection of prayers. While many are traditional, they are prayers I can truly say from the heart. Some are contemporary, including lovely prayers written by the authors, which again are so deeply heartfelt that it is easy to make them my own. The prayers are all worded in language that inspires a deep communion between the soul and God. This is a collection unlike any other you'll find.Thoughtfully, the authors include blank pages after each section where you can record, or glue in, your own favorite prayers, prayer cards, or whatever will make the book even more personal for you.The book is aesthetically pleasing also, which makes me want to pick it up often and use it. That matters; we are a sacramental Church, a Church that very deliberately uses beauty to inspire us to higher truths, so there is nothing wrong with a prayer book using beauty to lead us into prayer! That said, it's not an ornate book. There are no illustrations. But the lovely embossed cover, the quality pages and simple but elegant two-color typeface possess an unadorned grace that I just love.There is one ribbon marker. My book is already stuffed with prayer cards as well. My daughter taught me her favorite prayer recently and I asked her to write it on a blank page in her handwriting. The authors, in fact, encourage you to write in the book and make it your own! I can imagine that in years to come the pages will be filled with highlights, quotes, prayers, and other markings, making it something I will always treasure. Thank you, Vinny and Erin Flynn, for this beautiful book!Update: After a few weeks of daily use, I'm afraid some of the gold embossing is wearing off of the cover at the places where I hold it in my hand. I still think it's a wonderful book and wouldn't trade it for any other. Just be aware that the gold embossing is a bit delicate.

Love this little book! Wonderful for Mass or visit to Eucharist and Chapel! Arrived timely and seller was good- best price too!! Takes awhile to receive but it’s not prime overnight either! Would definitely recommend and use again! Go for this book- worth it!

To get me in touch with the eternal realm that exists as you live and breathe. Being able to have a choice with your life, has as usual consequences . Choosing will lead you to the eternal LOVE or will end with a cheap imitation of the real thing. Real love requires the (WE ) with Emanuel .( GOD) LOVE with (Us)

I bring this with me to church every Sunday. The prayers are beautiful and exactly what I was looking for.

Many familiar prayers, some from Saints, and some prayers from the authors. Also some blank pages to fill in with your own or other favorites.

This book is used so much for Mass and Adoration. Well done.
