Arctic Flex Shoulder Ice Pack Brace - Rotator Cuff Cold Gel Wrap Therapy

Finally Slept Without Feeling Like My Shoulder Was Held Together by Paperclips” I bought this after my shoulder started sounding like a glow stick every time I reached for something. Between work, sleeping wrong, and pretending I’m still 21 when lifting heavy stuff, my rotator cuff was absolutely filing complaints against me. This brace honestly helped way more than I expected. The gel pack stays cold for a long time, the compression feels supportive without cutting circulation off to the rest of your body, and it actually stays in place instead of sliding around like most wraps I’ve tried. Huge bonus that you can use it hot OR cold depending on how angry your shoulder feels that day. I’ve used it: * after work * while watching TV * while sleeping * and once while dramatically explaining to my wife that I “might not make it” after carrying groceries wrong The fit is comfortable, adjustable, and works surprisingly well for both shoulders. Within a few days I noticed less stiffness and way less of that sharp “OH WOW that was a mistake” pain when moving my arm. At this point this thing has earned a permanent spot in my recovery lineup next to ibuprofen and making old-man noises every time I stand up. Definitely worth it if your shoulder feels like it’s being held together with duct tape and regret.

Excellent product. Well made. Fits larger bodies quite well. I suffer from frozen shoulder. This offers great support and immediate relief from much of my pain even before utilizing the cold pack. The stress on my neck and shoulder from holding my arm in a certain position has been relieved by wearing this, as well. This will fit massive arms and super broad chests. Great for bulked up body builders or super curvy plus-size gals, like me. UPDATE: I've been wearing this almost 2 months now. It's been such a huge help. At the end of the day, I'm not in terrible pain like before and can sleep easier. This has made life so much better.

UPDATE: I've used this product now for a while and I find it helps my upper arm and shoulder immensely. It stays cold enough that you're not over doing the cold therapy. So that's a good thing if you fall asleep with it on you're not overdoing the chill. END OF UPDATE/I have some kind of tendonitis, bursitis or 9something in the upper outside portion of my arm that is extremely painful. It's also mostly immobile. This is a one size fits all item. A little confusing on how to get the whole thing situated. Turns out that it really wasn't that difficult, the confusing came on my part. The ice pack that comes with it gets really cold, and it will give your shoulder and upper arm a good chill. I've only ice packed it once, there is a little bit ease of pain. Then again I really don't use it much these days. I'm also using it as a support because I just had knee replacement surgery and I'm sleeping in a recliner. One night the pain woke me up because my shoulder had dropped to the side. I'm hoping that the more I treat it with the ice pack the better it'll get. I'll update as I use it.

This is a great shoulder ice pack. It holds the ice in the right place and is comfortable. The ice pack itself is a quality pack - it looks like it will hold up well. I have had it over a month and used it a lot and it still looks new. The ice stays cold for about 30 min. I have not tried it with heat yet so I can't comment on that. I would recommend this.

I bought this after a rotator cuff injury, hoping it would act as a brace. It does not act as an immobilizer at all because it doesn’t restrict arm movement, but it does keep the heat/ice pack in place. The ice/heat pack is removable to store in the freezer or heat up in the microwave - just never heat it directly after removing it from the freezer or they say it will be damaged and no longer leak proof. If using it for heat keep it stored at room temperature and use 30 second increments in the microwave till it’s as hot as you need. I already have a similarly sized cold gel pack that will fit in the “pocket” of this, so I am able to have both heat & cold available at all times though I find heat works better for me than cold as pain relief for muscles & tendons etc other than immediately after an injury. There is an extension strip with hook & loop style fastening included so it will fit a wide variety of differently sized/shaped people but being female, just like with car seat belts that are designed for men, it is a bit awkward to secure it well AND comfortably. The listing says it can be used under clothing (though unless you wear a very loose and dark colored shirt/top it will be obvious) or on top of it. The ice/heat pack itself is a bit more of a “T” shape than just the usual rectangle (see the picture) so it will work better and drape a bit when applied to the shoulder area. It is almost 10 inches tall, with the top being 9 inches wide and the bottom 7 inches wide. The ice/heat pack fits inside the strapping pocket between an inner layer of soft nylon/polyester (mine was not mesh it was solid fabric) that helps protect your skin from possible burns or frost damage, and the outer neoprene layer. The shoulder “pocket” that holds the ice/heat gel pack is curved to fit a shoulder. It is roughly 11 inches top to bottom, and will fit any arm width between 11 inches, and using the extension strap fits up to 25-26 inches. The length over the injured shoulder to under the other arm wrapping can be small enough to fit a child - it’s 14.5 inches between the two plastic buckle mechanisms to hold the chest strap, and all the way up to 57 inches if you use the arm extension strip. The description says there are two extension straps, but other than the removable but required chest strap itself there was only one actual extension strap in the box I received. There is also a “Y” shaped adapter strap attached so you can shorten the “height” of the treated area, though that bunches up the ice/heat pack which doesn’t seem as effective nor as comfortable. It took me some practice and getting used to, in order to fix it in place without help from someone else, but it's worth it to be able to continue with most aspects of daily living while having a heat therapy. (In fact I’m wearing it while typing this review.) It isn't as effective or as long lasting as those at my physical therapists office, but it's also no where near as expensive as theirs to purchase and can be used at a moments notice 24/7 instead of having to wait for the next appointment.

Highly effective pain relief. Fits well, freezes fast. I had frozen shoulder for months and this was an integral part of my therapy.

It can be adjusted over the shoulder & fits perfectly. Best of all is the cold pack stays cold for a long time. Highly recommend

While the patch offered some shoulder support, the hot/cold pack offered the most benefit. I choose to heat my hot/cold pack 30 minutes on each side seemed to be the right amount of heat for me. Very easy to use and put on by myself. The material seemed to be good, not to thick or bulky, and the size was great for me!

Comfortable and good cooling for my broken shoulder. for the price it should have come with the icepack as most others even at less money come with one and it is inconvenient to buy items to add to something that should come complete. Cheers
