M-570V Microcassette Voice Recorder

The Seller here was top shelf and the refurbished recorder was LIKE NEW. I'm one of those last holdouts who still dictates on tapes for letters and thrilled I could find such a great reconditioned machine at a great price - brand new ones from "the day" are ridiculously priced now.

Worked beautifully for about three weeks, then the audio just simply dropped out.. I have another M570 /sony , is still perfect after a few years. I would repair this one, but don't know where. The service was perfect. The unit was used and subject to failure anytime, I know that. I am repairing the unit as this M570 is the perfect recorder. Your humble servant Allen Johnson

This little voice recorder is great for the purpose for which I purchased it. This is the smallest of the three microcasette recorders I've owned, and it fits comfortably in the palm of my hand. After a briefly frustrating learning curve, it's very simple to operate. The play and record controls are buttons, but the rewind and fast forward functions are controlled by a slide switch located just below play and record. This is actually a great design, since it makes recording accidents unlikely. Since voice activation would defeat the purpose for which I need a recorder, I appreciate that the voice activation can be turned off. The AAA batteries last a long time if the unit is turned off between uses. So far, I've gotten more than eight hours from one set of batteries, and it's still going strong. The only negative is a loud hiss during recording and playback. The noise isn't on the tape, it's in the machine. It doesn't drown out the voice and doesn't bother me, but might be annoying to someone for whom crystal clear playback quality is important. I purchased a refurbished unit and am delighted with the value. Digital recorders, which were all I could find in stores, are three times the price of my little refurbished recorder and I can't imagine they'd work any better for my needs.

It says "Condition: Used - Very Good - This recorder was tested and all functions work properly." which is completely wrong and deceptive. The device is out of order and not working. It cost me $128 for a non-working recorder. I am so dissapointed about that. I will send it to Sony service for repair instead of returning it. But i will not buy any electronic device from Amazon anymore.

Very expansive! The one of the same model I have dose not work now. Have to get another one from marvelous Amazon to play many important records. It is in the original package. The two AAA batteries in the package worked just for two seconds. The manufacture date on the batteries is 12-2012. Anyway glad to have this ancient recorder which I used to use.

I bought these because my husband was going over seas and i wanted to still hear his voice. These are really good you can hear the voice clearly and the recording is exellent too. I enjoyed using them while he was away and I will be using them again in the future for ideas and to remember certin things.

This machine works well, but the outer appearance is rather poor, kind of dirty and lot of blemishes. On the whole I'd like to rate it as OK and acceptable.
