Couldn't Believe the Quality.
I stumbled around on others reviews of this product after i had already purchased it. I was... nervous. I got cold feet in a way. Sat there starring at the horrifying words on my screen for a great while. Almost cancelled my entire order. Then i Waited Till it came, figuring i could return it if it was an issue. It was intense to say the least. The product got here. I opened it. AND THANK GOD!!!!!! I didn't cancel. I was amazed at how well it works and how easy it was to set up. Even with a humidity and temp Thermostat. I heard things about it not being built "heavy duty" enough for some people. I'd have to disagree. But i did no such man handling with my installation process. It work's better then i could have ever thought. I got my money worth, and i know you will. BTW 14oo cfm was enough for my 28 foot Length by 11 foot wide space. You can use that for what it's worth when deciding if you should get the 3000 Cfm. Moral of the whole thing. They say people don't review enough and that it cause feedback issues. and this is a problem. But i say, If your going to do a review of an item. Do it with truth and integrity. cause an item like this needs better reviews.

I gave it 5-stars, but...
All in all, it is a great fan and made in the US. It does make a clicking noise at full or near full speed and I believe it is the shutters, I have to look into it still. I do wish I had sprung for the next size up, but that was purely my decision. The noise it makes other than the clicking sound, which I feel I can fix, is no really that loud for a fan of this size that moves 1400 CFM. Most large plastic house fans are 20-21" which is twice as big. Fans should be measured by the sq, inches or ft that the inlet/outlet measures. A 20" fan has twice the surface area as a 14" fan which, mostly, is why the 18" model can move over twice the CFM of air yet is only 1.3 times as big across. The fan is also not intended or designed for in-home use. Its design is that of something like an attic exhaust fan which would be sound-insulated by a ceiling and insulation. The blades of a house fan are smaller, smoother, and pointed as opposed to square. House fans cannot create as much suction or pressure, depending on how you look at it as a fan designed like this, which is why it has a tube. It also has only 4 blades, probably because they will stay balanced longer, can be cleaned more easily, and are less expensive to manufacture than a fan with more blades allowing for more of the cost to be put into the motor which would imagine has far longer-lasting bearings and superior efficiency per watt/hour of electricity used. Lastly, some of the reviews mentioned a cover for winter and a screen. No real need for a cover if used as designed and a screen would only reduce efficiency. anything small enough to fit through it grate would just be blown out most likely anyway. So that is how I see this fan. By the looks of it and the sound of the motor, it should last quite a long time even if used all day every day, or near to it. My only real issue is the shutter noise, which is not all that loud and intermittent. I would suggest buying some inexpensive quilted material and cutting a circle out (approx. 30" should do nicely)and just placing it over the end of the fan and using a strap that can be tightened around the tube to hold it on for a winter cover. Screening is cheap.

Fans work well but cord is very short
All good but cord is very short and inconsistent exit point. I bought 3 fans. One fan cord exits the bottom then other two exit the left side. All cords require the source electrical box to be immediately next to the frame of the fan.

Nice fans, move a ton of air
Installed two of these for my small glass studio and they work perfectly. Super simple to set up and wire in the plug head. They move way more air than I expected which is nice, I can see why a speed controller might be necessary. Vents move nice and freely, and didn't have much of a problem with them freezing shut during winter. Only complaint is that they are VERY loud, definitely have to raise your voice if you're talking near them.

Looks and feels like a quality unit
Arrived at my location fairly quickly. Looks and feels like a quality unit. I think cosmetically it would look excellent on the side of any building, very well crafted. I ended up having to remove the fins and just install the fan unit itself which is most unfortunate because the fins are such a great feature. A lengthy and hard install (because of the "master" craftsmanship of the previous opening) and I had the fan in and working. It has been working great every since to my knowledge. The customer is happy and said it wobbles less than her previous fan and is less noisy. Would purchase again for sure. Having to wait on it a few extra days is worth it.

Louvers need improvement
Purchased this fan as an exhaust fan to move air out of my metal building where I store a boat. Fan works great however the louvre mechanism needs to be improved. The thin louvers are held in place with a plastic screw. The do not open when fan is running, nor close when fan stops. The louvers are also a bit too wide for the allotted space. I’ve left them open until I can figure a way to get them to work. The aluminum is very thin and bends easily. With all that said, the fan is great. I would give it 5 stars if the louvers would work properly.

Used as whole house fan
Fan works fine, no issues with shutters, vibration or noise. Easy install in attic with 25' of duct connected to a ceiling intake register. Almost undetectable as far as noise, although i suggest rubber isolation pads to deter vibration. Installed with Alexa enabled switch and set schedule to come on a couple times a day for 4 hours total. This helps keep the upstairs temp reasonable, although next time I'd go bigger, maybe 20" or even 24" on 1800 SF house. So what does that mean? In my case, AC power went from 916KWH per month to 384KWH by using this fan, which consumes about 18KWH per month. At .13 per KWH, AC cost went from about $120 to $50 per month, 58% decrease including power for the fan. Return on investment is outstanding, in my situation the entire system cost about $400, so it all paid for itself in one summer.

Company doesn’t stand behind product
It was cheap one reason I bought it. Yes it was easy to install, anybody with a screwdriver and basic electrical skills can install. While the fan runs fine the problem is it runs all of the time. The “ thermostat “. ( if you want to call it that ) doesn’t work. At first it came on close to the temperature (10-20degrees ) it was set to come on but within a day or two it started not turning on so I’d tap on the side of the thermostat and it would come on. Then it started to not turn off when it cooled down. Again if tap the controller and ot would shut off. I called the company in mineral wells TX. I spoke to a seemingly nice young gentleman who after asking me some questions assured me he was mailing me a replacement thermostat either that day or the next. It’s now been 8 months since then and still nothing. Sure I could have taken the fan out and returned the whole unit to Amazon to get a replacement for a thermostat but without a fan my all of the plants I started in my new greenhouse would have died and set my garden back for the year. I won’t buy anymore product’s from this company. I will pay more if needed to make sure I get a quality product and a company who doesn’t tell you platitudes and lies to get a paying customer off of their back. I woud suggest you do the same.

Excellent Quality
Solid product and moves lots of hot air. Enclosed shroud sets it apart from other fans. Reasonably quiet operation. Used with a 70deg thermostat

Very loud, much more so than I thought. Comes with very small wires but still hooked up mine to 12gauge wiring just in case. Wish it had an adjustable amount of air flow but didnt pay extra for that option!

Not well designed
The screws are too long and the blades kept cutting into them making really loud noises. Also there wasn’t any mechanism to absorb the vibration causing the screws to loosen. My husband had to reinstall 3 times and finally macguyver something to make it fit.
