Great multifunction postscript printer
I was looking for a decent all-in-one for my small design studio. This one fits the bill. The ink is the most affordable I've seen for a printer like this. Pages print quickly from both my Macpro and PC (which is an HP). I've use the HP ePrint feature to email pdfs to the printer which works well.In order to find an inkjet with affordable ink that was also a postscript printer I had to give up a manual feed tray (for the few times I need to print on custom paper, it works for me). Also, when the printer is plugged into a wired network, It seems to lose it's wireless ability. I overcome this by using HP ePrint. Most of the time, I'm using printouts internally, but they would be fine for client meetings as well. The printer was easy to set up and I'm still using the factory-installed ink cartridges that came with it.

Decent, not great - crazy price on ink
Love the functionality of this printer and the speed is pretty good. The drivers are a bit clunky, but effective. The printing is a bit of a mess. You really do have to use the HP ColorLock paper to get any quality. Even then, when printing solid colors on a large part of the page, you get it in bands about 1.5" wide. A bit disappointing, but it is not an expensive printer. So long as you're not looking for anything super high quality, you're good to go. It does seem to burn through ink. We doubled our investment with ink purchases inside of 3 months...

Piece of junk. Nothing but issues. Tomorrow's trash.
I am very disappointed with this printer.I have had it for 6 months, and have never been pleased with it. Here are the issues I have had with it:1] scanner ADF feeder always pulls paper sideways, never straight.2] The printer has all sorts of trouble picking up different kinds of paper namely photo paper and envelopes. But I have also run into issues with it not picking up regular stock paper as well.3] The alignment and text clarity has never been great.4] 3 months in the rollers started to squeak, and it would jam on the first couple prints of the day. This would not be an actual jam, printing would be going fine, but the system would trip for some reason and prompt you to clear a non-existent jam. Then you'd print again and usually by the 2nd or 3rd time it would print fine for the rest of the day.5] Finally 6 months in, it gave me a notice that the print head was no longer attached. Note that nothing had changed and nothing had been removed, it just thought the print head was removed. While trying to resolve, It shut down all on its own, and despite all sorts of troubleshooting, it refuses to turn back on.What a piece of junk! Especially for its obnoxiously pricey sticker price. I will likely never buy an HP printer again.

Yes Buy if only printing/scanning and No Buy if want to use all it said does.
It is OK but it software is not current and you have to contact HP to help you to get the compatible patch because HP is not catching up with technology. Printer is good but I have some glitches like cartridges not properly in place and threatening to brake internal parts, printing pictures is not good it stretches it so much that you don't get the whole image but I might need to try more because it is only once. I use it for printing and scanning and it does work so I like that fit my need but if you are into using full advertised feature, then, do not buy.

Updated review
This printer worked great for like 2 years. It has been a nightmare ever since. I am constantly having to manually clean the printer head and fight to reconnect it to my computer because it just loses connection for no reason, or it will print from my computer but won't scan to it... and usually it takes a few days of me turning it on and off and unplugging it and plugging it back in before it miraculously starts working again. Right now it just says printer failure and won't let me do anything at all. This morning it was fine. I replaced the ink cartridges and BOOM... that was it. This happens all the time and I'm sick of it. What a huge waste of money. I paid the extra for this model because of the automatic 2-sided thing, and that worked great, but I honestly didn't need it all that often. What a disappointment!!! I'm about to throw it out my second story window. So far this printer is a dream. Nice looking, very easy to use for printing, scanning and copying. I bought it for my small business which requires printing multiple page documents on a daily basis. It doesn't do double-sided at the speed of the printers at Kinkos, but if you are not printing books, this should be fine for your use. I am just so happy to have automatic double sided after so many years of doing it manually! My last printer was an HP all-in-one. After 8 years, I finally upgraded.... but the old one still works great! As good as when it was new. The only reason I upgraded is for the double-sided feature....POINT BEING that HP printers last forever.

Excellent Home Office All in One
Did a lot of research, and in my opinion, the Amazon Reviews for this are too low. This shows up as a top 5/editor's choice on a lot of different sites.Setup was easy - the printer has a lot of helpful documentation right out of the box, and the screen prompts you through what to do (including little movies that show you how to do steps) to set up. I don't even bother with the DVD that comes with it, go straight to HP and download the latest drivers. Some reviews mention issues on Mac, I installed this on a mixed environment with PC's and Macs - including a Mac mini, Macbook air, and Macbook Pro Retina, no issues. Also installed a driver that lets me print using HP's eprint service from my work machine while on VPN, which is really handy.2 sided printing has been great, really saves the paper. Scan to computer is a very handy feature. Every so often this goes wonky, but I think that may have to do with my wireless router needing to be replaced. If you want to print even cheaper, skip the HP inks, and get refills. I've been doing that and the cost of cartridges are 30% of the ones from HP, and still do a great job.Strongly recommend this product, it's a great value for the money, and if you play your cards right, it'll be very cheap to run for a long time.
