Honeywell Odor-Reducing Air Purifier Replacement Pre-Filter HRF-B1, 1 Count

I have these on my Subscribe and Save auto refill. They work well, they're easy to cut, and fit the Honeywell air purifiers perfectly. They last a decent amount of time and collect TONS of dog hair and dust for me. When they're filled, I just fold them up and throw them in the garbage! Great value for the money.

This is part of a 3 part filtration system for my HEPA filter. Trying to find the N type box filter replacements at an affordable price from Honeywell is impossible. They now charge you $66.95 for one pair and you need a pair for it to do it's job. This B+ is a prefilter used to get larger particulates and eliminate odors using carbon which does work. To replace the N filters though I've found a company who DOES sell them for a reasonable price and they ARE the same as Honeywell's N. The only difference being the frame is made of rubber and the Honeywell versions were framed in plastic. Doesn't matter as far as use goes, I get the same efficiency and results at a reasonable price. You can operate without the B+ filter but why? All you're doing is shortening the lifespan of your N type filters which are also more expensive. The large dust particulates will clog up the N filters in no time. The B+ I can wash for one more use and then order a new one. Just common sense here.

Everyone in our family was suffering from allergies and waking up congested every morning until I got a couple Honeywell air filters for our bedrooms. I change the odor-reducing filter every 3 months and the HEPA filter annually or so (the air filter lights up when the filter needs changing, so I don't have to remember to do it). I'm amazed how much dust it captures and we all definitely notice a difference -- no congestion in the mornings anymore.

This little filter along with the primary (filter) are making a difference to my indoor air quality. I live on a busy street, so dust is always an issue, yet with this filter I see less dust, which is a plus for me.

Ease of purchase without the hassle of making certain the local stores carried the replacement filter. In General we are satisfied with our air purifier and how long the first filters lasted. We live in a small living area condo and odors and dust tend to get trapped in the corners and around furniture. Both of us have allergies to household dust and due to the fact we live close to I5 we get a great deal of odors and dust if we leave the windows open for any length of time. Also under these closed conditions unpleasant odors manufactured by simply living in these conditions tend to linger and these odor reducing purifier filters seem to take care of the problem to a great extent.

This pre-filter works very well at trapping larger dust particles and leaving the smaller ones to the main filter. I think I must live in the dustiest house in the dustiest place on earth and we have several honeywell air purifiers, this one is in the bedroom. I can see through the grill on the machine when it is white with dust and I carefully remove it and vacuum it off thoroughly before putting it back again. One pre filter has lasted a year so far and seems ready to keep on truckin'. From experience with previous purifiers and filters I'm issuing a warning against ever rinsing this in water. It seems like this would be the easiest way to clean it but it only causes dust to become glued to the material which plugs up the pores and renders it a lot less useful.

Work well and clear the room and its does help with dust and pollen.

To clean the air quality in my home,in which i do notice.I find that the air is a lot more refreshing and breathable.A little noisy when you have it at the highest setting.The pads are a good source of filter.I'll give it a 4 out of 5 rating.

It looks thinner when I received the project

As other reviews have mentioned they aren't like what came with the air purifier. I have found that using two of these works. Vacuum one layer and put it under the other. These are expensive though. I also rinse mine and hang dry them and use them doubled up (two together in the air purifier - they fit).
