Works as advertised--very handy indeed...
This is a great little pasta drying rack, and the price is right. The main pole screws into the base, and the drying rods then get inserted through the main pole. The pasta sides off of the raw wood poles very easily when you are ready to cook it. Plus it all disassembles in a second to be easily stored, taking up little room. This is one of those rare kitchen devices that just effortlessly works from moment one, with no fuss or instructions needed. You don't realize how handy this thing is until you have and use it. I formerly laid my pasta out on the counter, which does work, but also promotes much more clumping together, even with lots of flour tossed about. This rack is a much better solution. It's a winner. I would say that if you are making a lot of pasta--for 4-6 people--that this might be a little small, and you might consider two of these units.

FABULOUS
I don't know why I never purchased a pasta drying rack before. this product is amazing. easy to set up and take down and store. I have been making homemade pasta since the early 1970s. both my grandmothers made homemade noodles, and my mom taught me to make noodles, which I passed on to my daughter. Due to shoulder work-related injuries, I have never been able to roll out the dough as thin as it needs to be when making noodles. Up until my mom was diagnosed with cancer, she made the noodles, but after a few years, she was to weak to make them any longer. I struggled to make them, until I discovered I could use my Kitchen Aid stand mixer, to mix the dough. There was an awesome sale on the Kitchen Aid pasta cutter/roller set a few years ago, my struggle sere over. Up until then, all the generations rolled the dough out and then laid the dough out to dry on the counter or cookie sheet. My kitchen is very cold in the winter, and drying time was extremely slow. After reading the reviews for this drying rack, I ordered it and am extremely pleased with the product. Drying time is less than half, and no need to flip the noodle dough over 2 or 3 times to allow for even drying.

Function and Beauty
I bought an Amazon Certified "used" product at a reduced price. The box was damaged but the product itself was like new, although there were no internal paperwork or instructions. This rack looks great and was a bit larger than I expected. It is quite sturdy. One of the dowels was slightly warped, but it doesn't affect function, and is hardly noticeable when assembled. The rack is real unstained wood sanded to an extremely smooth feel. There was no noticeable odor, not even that of fresh wood. However, it does not appear to have any kind of finish so eventually the woodgrain will become raised with continued washing. (This may be ameliorated with application of food safe oil or sealant.) Contrary to another reviewer's comment, there IS a nut, visible underneath, but it is likely made of soft metal, so be careful of over tightening or risk stripping the nut. Also, there are no "feet." I will be applying some silicone feet to raise the wood base from the counter to avoid the puddle of water that inevitably streams across my counter. Overall a good purchase. I actually bought this to dry my washed plastic bags and it works well for that.

Works perfectly
Got this for my son, as he loves to make pasta. In fact we will be using it again this weekend when we make more. Pretty good build and functions as it’s supposed to. Easy to clean up and is easy to store.

Inexpensive and functional
I wanted to try making my own pasta but didn't want something super expensive in case I didn't enjoy it and this was the perfect option. It can collapse and not take up much space, but it's simple and functional compared to the fancy plastic "turbo" options that I imagine hipster foodies feeling the need to buy. To me, the simple wood is beautiful so even if your pasta sucks the stand looks like a sculpture on your counter while you cook. The one potential glitch I can see is if the wood swells in certain weather but so far that's not been an issue.

good product, great customer service
Obviously we're not asking this type of product to do anything too complicated, so this rack is wonderful in its simplicity and utility. It assembles/disassembles in about 5 seconds, so it doesn't need to take up much storage space in the kitchen, and you can easily hang about a pound of pasta from its branches. Unfortunately, mine arrived with one of the wooden rods badly warped, so I contacted Norpro through their website and asked if they could replace the warped piece. I got a courteous response promising follow-up, and a second response letting me know they wouldn't be able to ship a single rod... so they'd be sending me a full replacement item. It was on my doorstep two days later. At a time when I've found a lot of companies' "customer service" to be seriously lacking, (chef's) hats off to Norpro for going above and beyond to make a customer happy. (I've already ordered another one of their products. See? It does pay to be nice...)

You get what you pay for.
I bought this because I was trying out pasta making and wanted to start with a cheap rack to see if this was something I wanted to continue doing (quarantine hobbies are a fever-dream, sometimes.... I'll raise chickens in my studio apartment!) This rack works, but is not well made or convenient. The center dowel screws into a metal receiver in the base, but when I went to disassemble and store, it would only unscrew from the other end -- the screw out of the dowel. This means the fit will deteriorate as it's a screw re-biting into wood each time. The arms are all thinner dowels and are all warped, making the ends of most unusable without the pasta sliding off. All in all, I used it twice and bought a better iteration. Not a great value for money.
